Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr

So long as you have not contemplated the Creator,
you belong to created beings;
but when you have contemplated Him,
created beings belong to you.

Ibn `Ata’Allah, Hikam

Shaykh Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  descended from Abu Bakr as-Siddiq on his father’s side and from Ali ibn Abi Talib  on his mother’s side. He was born on a Thursday, in the holy month of Ramadan.

It is narrated that he said, “My grandfather, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, was alone with the Prophet in the Cave of Thawr during migration from Makkah to Madinah, and the Prophet said to him: ‘You have been with me all your life and you have carried all sorts of difficulties. And now I want to make a supplication to invoke God’s favor on you.’ Abu Bakr  then said, ‘O Prophet of God, you are the secret of my soul and the secret of my heart. You know better what I need.’”

The Prophet  raised his hands and said, “O God, as long as my Divine Law proceeds to Judgment Day may God grant that among your descendants are those who carry it and those who inherit its inner secrets, and grant that among your descendants are those who are on the Straight Path and those who guide to it.”

The first answer to that supplication and the first one to receive that blessing was Sayyidina Qasim . In his time he was known in Madina as Abu Muhammad. People came to listen to his guidance, his lectures (suhba) and his disclosures of the hidden meanings of the Quran. Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  was one of the seven most famous jurists in Madinah, being the most knowledgeable among them. It was through these seven great Imams that the Traditions, early jurisprudence, and Quranic commentaries were disseminated to the people.

He met some of the Successors of the Companions, including Salim ibn Abd Allah ibn Umar .

He was a pious imam and was very knowledgeable in the narration of the Traditions. Abu Zannad said, “I never saw anyone better than him in following the Sunnah of the Prophet . In our time no one is considered perfect until he is perfect in following the Sunnah of the Prophet , and Qasim is one of the perfected men.”

Abdur-Rahman ibn Abi Zannad said that his father said, “I did not see anyone who knew the Sunnah better than al-Qasim.”

Abu Nuaym said of him in his book Hilyat al-Awliya: “He was able to extract the deepest juristic rulings and he was supreme in manners and ethics.”

Imam Malik narrated that Umar ibn Abd ul-Aziz , considered the fifth rightly-guided caliph, said, “If it were in my hands, I would have made al-Qasim the caliph in my time.”

Sufyan said, “Some people came to al-Qasim with charity which he distributed. After he distributed it, he went to pray. While he was praying, the people began to speak negatively about him. His son said to them, ‘You are speaking behind the back of a man who distributed your charity and did not take one dirham from it for himself.’ Quickly his father scolded him saying, ‘Do not speak, but keep quiet.’” He wanted to teach his son not to defend him, as his only desire was to please God. He had no concern for the opinion of people.

Yahya ibn Sayyid said, “We never found, in our time in Madinah, anyone better than al-Qasim.” Ayyub as-Saqityani  said, “I have not seen anyone better than Imam Qasim. He left 100,000 dinars behind for the poor when he passed away, and it was all from his lawful earnings.”

One of His Miracles

Grandshaykh Sharafuddin and his successor, Grandshaykh Abd Allah ad-Daghestani (the thirty-eighth and thirty-ninth shaykhs in the Naqshbandi Golden Chain, respectively) narrated the following story:

The year in which Abu Muhammad Qasim  was to leave this world, on the third of Ramadan he went on pilgrimage. When he arrived to al-Qudayd, where pilgrims usually stop, God opened to his vision to behold the angels descending from heaven and ascending in countless numbers. They would come down, visit the place, and then go back up. As he saw these angels carrying the blessings that God was sending down with them, it was as if that light and concentrated power was being poured into his heart directly, filling it with sincerity and God-consciousness.

As soon as this vision occurred, he fell asleep. In a dream he saw Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  coming to him. He said, “O my grandfather, who are these heavenly beings that are descending and ascending and who have filled my heart with God-consciousness?”

Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  answered, “Those angels you see ascending and descending, God has assigned for your grave. They are constantly visiting it. They are obtaining blessings from where your body is going to be buried in the earth. To reverence you, God ordered them to come down and to ask blessings for you. O my grandson, don’t be heedless about your death; it is coming soon and you are going to be raised to the Divine Presence and leave this world.”

Qasim  immediately opened his eyes and saw his grandfather in front of him. He said, “I just saw you in the dream.” Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  replied, “Yes, I was ordered to meet you.” “That means I am going to leave this world,” answered Qasim . “Yes, you are going to leave the world and accompany us to the hereafter,” said our master Abu Bakr as-Siddiq .

“What kind of deed do you advise me to do in the last moments I am on earth?” asked Qasim  of his grandfather. Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  answered, “O my son, keep your tongue moistened with dhikrullah and keep your heart ready and present with dhikrullah. That is the best you can ever achieve in this world.”

Then Abu Bakr  disappeared and Qasim  began dhikr on his tongue and in his heart. He continued to Makkah and witnessed the standing at Mount Arafat (which occurs each year on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah). In that year many saints, both men and women, were spiritually present at Arafat, and Qasim bin Muhammad bin Abu Bakr as-Siddiq met with them.

As they were standing, they all heard the Plain of Arafat and its mountain crying mournfully. They asked Mount Arafat, “Why are you crying this way?” and Mount Arafat replied, “I and all the angels are crying, because today this earth is going to lose one of its pillars.”

They asked, “Who is that pillar that the earth is about to lose?” Mount Arafat replied, “Abu Muhammad Qasim is going to leave this world, and the world will no longer be honored with his steps, and I will no longer see him on my plain, where all pilgrims come, and I will miss him. That is why I am crying in this way. Not only from myself, but his grandfather Muhammad, and his grandfather Abu Bakr, and his grandfather Ali, and the whole world is crying. They say the death of a scholar is the death of the world.”

At that moment the Prophet  and Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  were spiritually present on Arafat, where they were crying. Prophet  said, “With the death of Qasim great corruption will appear on earth, for he was one of the pillars able to prevent it.”

Previously, that mournful crying of Mount Arafat only occurred when the Prophet  passed away from this world, then when Abu Bakr  passed, then when Salman  passed, and when Qasim passed. One of the saints, Rabia al-Adawiyya, met Qasim  in the spiritual assembly of saints and he said, “Every dry thing and living thing, I heard them crying. Why, Oh Rabia, did this happen? I never experienced such crying in my life. Do you know its cause?” She replied, “O Abu Muhammad, I also was not able to discern the nature of that crying, so you must ask your grandfather, Abu Bakr.”

Abu Bakr  appeared spiritually to them, saying, “That crying from every point on this earth is because you are leaving this worldly life, as I informed you on your pilgrimage.” Then Qasim  raised his hands and prayed to God, “Since I am passing away from this life now, forgive whoever stood with me on Mount Arafat.” Then they heard a voice saying, “For your sake, God has forgiven whoever stood with you on Mount Arafat on this Hajj.” At that moment God revealed to Qasim’s heart unlimited Gnostic knowledge.

Then he departed from Mount Arafat and said, “O Mount Arafat, don’t forget me on Judgment Day. All saints and all prophets stood here and so I ask you not to forget me on Judgment Day.” That huge mountain replied, “O Qasim,” in a loud voice which everyone could hear, “Don’t forget me on the Judgment Day. Don’t forget me. Let me be part of the intercession of the Prophet.”

At that moment Qasim  left Mount Arafat and arrived at Makkah al-Mukarrama, at the Ka‘aba. There he heard crying coming from God’s House that kept increasing as he approached, and everyone heard it. That was the voice of the Ka‘aba, crying for the passing of Qasim  from this world. And it was coming like a flood, a flood of tears pouring forth from the Ka‘aba, flooding the entire area with water.

God’s House said, “O Qasim! I am going to miss you and I am not going to see you again in this world.” Then the Ka‘aba made 500 circumambulations around Qasim  out of respect for him. Whenever a saint visits the Ka‘aba it responds to that saint’s greetings saying, “Wa `alayka as-salam ya wali-Allah,” “and upon you be peace, O friend of God.”

Then Qasim  said farewell to the Hajar al-Aswad (Black Stone), then to Jannat al-Mualla, the cemetery in which Khadijat al-Kubra , first wife of the Prophet , is buried, and then to all of Makkah. He then left and went to al-Qudayd, a place between Makkah and Madinah, on the 9th of Muharram, where he passed on to the next life. The year was 108 (or 109) AH/726 CE, and he was seventy years old. He passed the secret of the Naqshbandi Golden Chain to his successor, his grandson, Imam Jafar as-Sadiq .

Salman al-Farisi

My heart has become able to wear all forms:
A pasture for gazelles, a monastery for monks,
A temple for idols, the Ka`ba of the pilgrims,
The tablets of Torah, the Book of Qur’an.
I profess the religion of Love.
Whatever direction its mount may take,
Love is my Religion and my Belief.

Ibn `Arabi, Tarjuman al-ashwaq

Salman al-Farisi  is known as the Imam, the Flag of Flags, the Inheritor of Islam, the Wise Judge, the Knowledgeable Scholar, and One of the House of the Prophet . These were all titles the Prophet  gave him. He stood fast in the face of extreme difficulties and hardships to carry the Light of Lights and to spread the secrets of hearts to lift people from darkness to light. He was a noble companion of the Prophet . He reported sixty of his sayings.

He came from a highly respected Zoroastrian family from a town near Ispahan. One day while passing by a church, he was attracted by the voices of men praying. Drawn by their worship, he ventured in and found it better than the religion of his upbringing. On learning that the religion originated in Syria, he left home, against his father’s wishes, went to Syria and associated himself with a succession of Christian anchorites. He came to know from them the coming of the last Prophet  and the signs accompanying his advent. He then traveled to Hijaz where he was seized, sold into slavery, and taken to Madina, where he eventually met the Prophet . When he found in the Prophet  the fulfillment of all the signs of which he had been informed by his Christian teachers, he affirmed the testification of faith – Shahada. Servitude prevented Salman from being at the battles of Badr and Uhud. The Apostle  helped him gain his release from slavery by planting with his own hand three hundred palm trees and giving him a large piece of gold. Once a free man he took part in every subsequent battle with the Prophet .

In Ibn Ishaq’s Sirat Rasul Allah, we find the following in Salman’s account to the Prophet  of his journey in search of the true religion:

“`Asim ibn `Umar ibn Qatada said that he was told that Salman the Persian told the Prophet  that his master in ‘Ammuriya told him to go to a certain place in Syria where there was a man who lived between two thickets. Every year as he used to go from one to the other, the sick used to stand in his way and everyone he prayed for was healed. He said, ‘Ask him about this religion which you seek, for he can tell you of it.’ So I went on until I came to the place I had been told of, and I found that people had gathered there with their sick until he came out to them that night passing from one thicket to the other. The people came to him with their sick and everyone he prayed for was healed. They prevented me from getting to him so that I could not approach him until he entered the thicket he was making for, but I took hold of his shoulder. He asked me who I was as he turned to me and I said, ‘God have mercy on you, tell me about the Hanafiya, the religion of Abraham.’  He replied, ‘You are asking about something men do not inquire of today; the time has come near when a prophet will be sent with this religion from the people of the Haram. Go to him, for he will bring you to it.’  Then he went into the thicket. The Prophet said to Salman, ‘If you have told me the truth, you met Jesus the son of Mary.’”

In one of the Prophet’s  battles called al-Ahzab or al-Khandaq Salman advised the Prophet to dig trenches around Madinah in defense of the city, a suggestion which the Prophet  happily accepted. He then went ahead and helped the digging with his own hands. During this excavation, Salman struck upon a rock which he was unable to break. The Prophet  took an axe and hit it. The first strike brought forth a spark. He then hit it a second time and brought forth a second spark. He then struck for the third time and brought forth a third spark. He then asked Salman , ” O Salman, did you see those sparks?” Salman replied, “Yes, O Prophet, indeed I did.” The Prophet  said, “The first spark gave me a vision in which Allah has opened Yemen for me. With the second spark, Allah opened Sham and al-Maghreb (the West). And with the third one, Allah opened for me the East.”

Salman reported that the Prophet  said: “Nothing but supplication averts the decree, and nothing but righteousness increases life,” and “Your Lord is munificent and generous, and is ashamed to turn away empty the hands of a servant when he raises them to him.” Tirmidhi transmitted them.

At-Tabari recounts that in the year 16 A.H. the Muslim army turned to the Persian front. In order to confront the Persian king at one point the Muslim army found itself on the opposite bank of the great Tigris River. The commander of the army, Sa`d Ibn Abi Waqqas, following a dream, ordered the entire army to plunge into the rushing river. Many people were afraid and hung back. Sa`d, with Salman by his side, prayed first: “May Allah grant us victory and defeat His enemy.” Then Salman prayed: “Islam generates good fortune. By Allah, crossing rivers has become as easy for the Muslims as crossing deserts. By Him in whose hand lies Salman’s soul, may the soldiers emerge from the water in the same numbers in which they entered it.” Sa`d and Salman then plunged into the Tigris. It is reported that the river was covered with horses and men. The horses swam and when they tired the river floor seemed to rise up and support them until they regained their breath. To some it seemed that the horses rode effortlessly on the waves. They emerged on the other bank, as Salman had prayed, having lost nothing from their equipment but one tin cup, and no one having drowned.

They went on to take the Persian capital. Salman acted as spokesman and said to the conquered Persians: “I have the same origin as you. I shall be compassionate toward you. You have three options. You may embrace Islam, then you will be our brethren and you will have the same privileges and obligations as we. Or you may pay the Jizyah tax and we will govern you fairly. Or we will declare war on you.” The Persians, having witnessed the miraculous crossing of the Muslim army, accepted the second alternative.

Salman al-Farsi was eventually appointed governor of that region. He was the commander of 30,000 Muslim troops. Yet, he was very humble. He lived from his own manual labor. He did not own a house, but instead rested under the shade of trees. He used to say that he was surprised to observe so many people spending all their life for the lower world, without a thought for the inevitable death which will take them from the world one day.

Salman was a very strict and just man. Among some spoils which were distributed one day was cloth out of which each companion had one piece of clothing cut. One day `Umar  got up to speak and said: “Lower your voices so that I may hear you.” He was wearing two pieces of that cloth. Salman said, “By God, we will not hear you, because you prefer yourself to your people.”  “How is that?” asked Umar. He said: “You are wearing two pieces of cloth and everyone else is wearing only one.” `Umar called out: “O Abdullah!” No one answered him. He said again, “O Abdullah ibn `Umar!” Abdullah, his son called out: “At your service!” `Umar said, “I ask you by God, don’t you say that the second piece is yours?” Abdullah said “Yes.” Salman said: “Now we shall hear you.”

At night Salman  would begin to pray. If he got tired, he would start making dhikr by tongue. When his tongue would get tired, he would contemplate and meditate on Allah’s power and greatness in creation. He would then say to himself, “O my ego, you took your rest, now get up and pray.” Then he would make dhikr again, then meditate, and so forth all night long.

Bukhai relates two hadiths which show the Prophet’s  consideration for Salman:

Abu Huraira relates:

While we were sitting with the Holy Prophet , Surat al-Jumu`a was revealed to him. When the Prophet  recited the verse, “And He (Allah) has sent him (Muhammad) also to others (than the Arabs)…”

[62:3] I said, “Who are they, O Allah’s Apostle?” The Prophet  did not reply till I repeated my question thrice. At that time Salman al-Farisi was with us. Allah’s Apostle put his hand on Salman, saying: “If faith were at ath-Thurayya (the Pleiades, very distant stars), even then some men from these people (i.e. Salman’s folk) would attain it.”

Abu Juhayfa relates:

The Prophet  made a bond of brotherhood between Salman and Abu ad-Darda al-Ansari . Salman paid a visit to Abu ad-Darda’ and found Um ad-Darda’ (his wife) dressed in shabby clothes. He asked her why she was in that state. She said, “Your brother Abu ad-Darda’ is not interested in the luxuries of this world.” In the meantime Abu ad-Darda’ came and prepared a meal for Salman. Salman requested Abu ad-Darda’ to eat with him, but Abu ad-Darda’ said, “I am fasting.” Salman said, “I am not going to eat unless you eat.” So Abu ad-Darda’ ate with Salman. When it was night and a part of the night has passed, Abu ad-Darda’ got up (to offer the night prayer), but Salman told him to sleep and Abu ad-Darda slept. After some time Abu ad-Darda’ again got up but Salman told him to sleep. When it was the last hours of the night, Salman told him to get up then, and both of them offered the prayer. Salman told Abu ad-Darda’, “Your Lord has a right on you, your soul has a right on you, and your family has a right on you. Abu ad-Darda’ came to the Prophet  and narrated the whole story. The Prophet  said, “Salman has spoken the truth.”

From His Sayings

Sulaiman al-Teemi   narrated that Salman al-Farsi   said:

Nimrod starved out two lions, and then released them to devour God’s bosom friend, Abraham. But when the lions reached him and by God’s leave, they stood before him in reverence, and they both lovingly licked him all over and prostrated themselves at his feet.

Abi al-Bakhtari narrated that Salman al-Farsi  had a female servant of Persian descent and he once spoke to her in her Persian tongue saying, “Prostrate yourself even once before God.” She replied with disdain, “I do not prostrate to anyone!” Someone asked Salman, “O Abu Abd Allah, what would she benefit from a single prostration?” Salman replied, “Each link is an important part of a chain, and perhaps should this woman accept to offer a single prostration before God Almighty, then this may lead her to regularly engage in offering the five times prayers. In fact, one who has a share in the blessings of Islam is not equal to someone who has naught of it.”

Sulaiman al-Teemi narrated that Salman al-Farsi  said:

If a man spends his entire night freeing slaves from bondage and another man spends his night reading the Quran and invoking the remembrance of God (dhikr), the second man would be in a higher state.

His Passing

Beloved Salman al-Farsi   passed away in 33 AH/654 CE during the reign of Uthman. He passed his secret on to Abu Bakr’s grandson, Imam Abu Abd ar-Rahman Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr as-Siddiq ق.

Abu Bakr as-Siddiq

The moon traverses the constellations of the zodiac in a single night,
so why do you deny the mi`raj (Ascension)?
That wondrous, unique Pearl (the Prophet) is like a hundred moons
–for when he made one gesture, the moon was split in two.
And the marvel that he displayed in splitting the moon
was in keeping with the weakness of the creatures’ perception.
The work and business of the prophets and messengers
is beyond the spheres and the stars.
Transcend the spheres and their revolution!
Then you will see that work and business.
–Rumi

The Secret was transmitted and flowed from the Master of all Nations, the Messenger of Allah  to the first Khalif, Imam of Imams, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq . Through him the religion was supported and the Truth protected. Allah mentions and praises him in His Holy Qur’an in many verses:

“As for him who gives and keeps his duty, we facilitate for him the way to ease.”
[Al-Lail: 5-7]

and

And (away from the fire) shall be kept the most faithful who gives his wealth, thereby purifying himself, and seeks to gain no pleasure or reward other than the Presence of his Lord, the Most High.” [Al-Lail:17-21]

Ibn al-Jawzi states that all Muslim scholars and the Companions were certain that these ayats referred to Abu Bakr. Among all the people he was called “Al-`Atiq,” the most pious, delivered from the punishments of the fire.

When ayat 56 of Surah Al-Ahzab revealed that “Allah and his angels bless the Holy Prophet,” Abu Bakr asked if he also was included in this blessing. Ayat 43 was then revealed stating:

“He it is who sends His blessing on you and so do His angels, that He may bring you forth out of darkness into light. And He is merciful to the believers.” [Al-Ahzab: 43]

Ibn Abi Hatim explained that ayat 46 of Surah Ar-Rahman came in reference to Abu Bakr as-Siddiq:

“And for him who fears to stand before his Lord there are two gardens.” [Ar-Rahman:46]

and:

“We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: in pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, “O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in submission.” Such are they from whom We shall accept the best of their deeds and pass by their ill deeds: (they shall be) among the Companions of the Garden: a promise of truth, which was made to them (in this life).” [Al-Ahqaf: 15-16]

Ibn `Abbas says that these ayats came as a description of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, Allah honoring and elevating his state among all the Companions of the Prophet . Ibn `Abbas notes further that ayat 158 of Surah Al-Imran was revealed in reference to Abu Bakr and Umar :

“And take council with them on important matters.” [Al-Imran: 158]

Finally, the great honor accorded to Abu Bakr in accompanying the Holy Prophet  on his flight from Makkah to Madinah, is referred to in the ayat:

“When the unbelievers drove him out, he had no more than one companion. The two were in the Cave, and he said to his companion, Fear not, for Allah is with us.” [At-Tawbah: 40]

In addition to the praise of Allah, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq received the praise of the Holy Prophet  and of his companions. This is recorded in many well known Hadiths.

The Holy Prophet  said:

“Allah will show His glory to the people in a general way, but He will show it to Abu Bakr in a special way.”

“Never has the sun risen or set on a person, other than a prophet, greater than Abu Bakr.”

“Never was anything revealed to me that I did not pour into the heart of Abu Bakr.”

“There is no one to whom I am obligated and have not repaid my debt except Abu Bakr, for I owe him much for which Allah will compensate him on the Day of Judgment.”

“If I were to take an intimate friend (khalil) other than my Lord, I would have chosen Abu Bakr.”

“Abu Bakr does not precede you because of much prayer or fasting, but because of a secret that is in his heart.”

Bukhari narrates from Ibn `Umar that, “In the time of the Prophet  we were not recognizing anyone higher than Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, then `Umar, then `Uthman.”

Bukhari also narrates from Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiya (Ali’s son): “I asked my father, ‘Who are the best people after Allah’s Apostle ?’ He said, ‘Abu Bakr.’ I Asked, ‘Who then?’ He said, Then `Umar. I was afraid he would say `Uthman next, so I said: ‘Then you?’ He replied, ‘I am only an ordinary person.’”

Tabarani narrated through Mu`adh that the Prophet  said, “I had a vision that I was put on one side of the scale and my Nation was put on the other side and I was heavier. Then Abu Bakr was put on one side and My Nation was put on one side and Abu Bakr was heavier. Then `Umar was put on one side and My Nation was put on the other and `Umar was heavier. Then `Uthman was put on one side and My Nation on the other and `Uthman was heavier. Then the scale was raised up.”

Hakim narrated that `Ali was asked, “O Ruler of the Faithful, tell us about Abu Bakr.” He said, “He is a person whom Allah called as-Siddiq on the tongue of the Prophet  and he is the khalif (successor) of the Prophet . We accept him for our religion and for our worldly life.”

There are many other hadiths indicating the great attainment of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq with respect to all the other Sahaba.

Abu Bakr was the best friend and most beloved companion of the Holy Prophet . He was blessed by being first and foremost, throughout his life, in his belief, his support, and his love of the Holy Prophet. For this quality he was honored with the title of  as-Siddiq, or the Veracious.

He was the first free adult man to accept Islam at the hands of the Prophet . He had never joined in the worship of idols practiced by his contemporaries. He came to Islam without any trace of doubt or hesitation. Many years later the Holy Prophet  recalled: “Whenever I offered Islam to anyone, he always showed some reluctance and hesitation and tried to enter into an argument. Abu Bakr was the only person who accepted Islam without any doubt or hesitation, and without any argument.”

He was first in his spiritual support. He remained steadfast in his support throughout the difficult years in Makkah. He was the first to speak out when events passed beyond the understanding even of the new Muslims themselves, as in the case of the Night Journey. And later in Madinah when the treaty of Hudaybiya was signed, only Abu Bakr remained absolutely faithful. He counseled his companions: “Do not be critical, but hold fast to the stirrup (allegiance) of the Holy Prophet.”

He was first in his material support. While others of the Muslims gave large fortunes in support of their faith, Abu Bakr was the first to give everything he had. When asked what he had left for his children he answered: “Allah and His Prophet.” On hearing this Umar  said: “None can surpass Abu Bakr in serving the cause of Islam.”

He was first in kindness and compassion to his fellow believers. A very wealthy merchant, he always watched out for the poor and the weak. He freed seven slaves before leaving Makkah, among them Bilal . He not only spent large amounts to buy them freedom but he then took them into his own household and educated them.

When he assumed the role of khalif he said: “Help me, if I am in the right; set me right, if I am in the wrong. The weak among you shall be strong with me until, God willing, his rights have been vindicated. The strong among you shall be weak with me until, if God wills, I have taken what is due from him. Obey me as long as I obey Allah and His Prophet; when I disobey Him and his Prophet, obey me not.”

In early Islam, interpretation of dreams was considered a spiritual exercise. Only those with pure hearts and spiritual vision could have meaningful dreams; and only those with pure hearts and spiritual vision could interpret them. Abu Bakr was an acknowledged interpreter of dreams. The Prophet himself would consult only him in search for clarity of his prophetic dreams.

Before the battle of Uhud, the Holy Prophet saw in a dream that he was herding animals and some of these were being slaughtered. The sword that he held had a piece broken off. Abu Bakr interpreted the slaughtered animals to prophesize the death of many Muslims, and the broken sword to signify the death of one of the Prophet’s relatives. Unfortunately both these predictions were realized at the battle of Uhud.

Abu Bakr was also a poet before he became Muslim. He was known for his exceptional recitation and his excellent memory of the long poems in which the Arabs took great pride. These qualities served him well in Islam. His recitation of the Qur’an was so lyrical and charged with emotion that many people came to Islam simply after hearing him pray. The Quraish tried to forbid him to pray in the courtyard of his house in order to prevent the people from hearing him.

It is due to his memory that many of the most important Hadiths come to us today. Among them are those indicating the proper form of prayer and those specifying the proper proportions of Zakat. Yet out of the many thousands of Hadith verified and recorded, only 142 come through Abu Bakr. His daughter, `Ayesha (ra) related that her father kept a book of over 500 Hadith but that one day he destroyed it. The knowledge that Abu Bakr chose to keep hidden related to the heavenly knowledge, `ilmu-l-ladunni, the source of all saintly knowledge; a knowledge that can only be transmitted from heart to heart.

Although a quiet and gentle man he was also first on the battlefield. He supported the Holy Prophet  in all of his campaigns both with his sword and with his counsel. When others failed or ran he remained at the side of his beloved Prophet. It is stated that once `Ali  asked his companions who they considered to be the bravest. They replied that `Ali was the bravest. But he answered: “No. Abu Bakr  is the bravest. On the day of the battle of Badr when there was no one to stand guard where the Holy Prophet prayed, Abu Bakr stood with his sword and did not allow the enemy to come near.”

He was of course the first to follow the Holy Prophet as Khalif and leader of the Faithful. He instituted the public treasury (Baytu-l-mal) to take care of the poor and needy. He was the first to compile the entire Qur’an and call it “Mushaf.”

In regard to spiritual transmission, he was the first person to give instruction in the method of reciting the sacred Kalima (La ilaha ill-Allah) for purifying the heart by Dhikr, and that is still recited by the Naqshbandi Order today.

Although Allah honored Abu Bakr by making him first in innumerable ways, Allah granted him even more honor when he chose him to be second. For Abu Bakr was the only companion of the Holy Prophet on his flight from persecution in Makkah to shelter in Madinah. Probably his dearest title was ”the second of two when they were in the cave,” already quoted (9:40). Umar  said: “I wish all the deeds of my life were equal to his deed of that one day.”

Ibn `Abbas  said that one day the Prophet  was sick. He went to the mosque, wrapped his head with a cloth, sat on the minbar, and said, “If I were to take anyone as my intimate friend (khalil), I would take Abu Bakr, but the best friend to me is the friendship of Islam.” He then ordered all doors of the neighboring houses which opened into the mosque of the Prophet to be closed except the one of Abu Bakr. And that door is still open till this day.

The four Imams and the Shaikhs of the Naqshbandiyya understand from this Hadith that anyone who approaches Allah through the teachings and example of Abu Bakr   will find himself passing through the only door left open to the Presence of the Prophet .

From His Sayings

“No speech is good if it is not directed toward the pleasure of Allah. There is no benefit from money if it isn’t spent in the cause of Allah. There is no good in a person if his ignorance overcomes his patience. And if a person becomes attracted by the charms of this lower world, Allah will dislike him as long as he keeps this in his heart.”

“We have found generosity in Taqwa (God-consciousness), richness in Yaqin (certainty), and honor in humbleness.”

“Beware of pride because you will be returning to the earth and your body will be eaten up by the worms.”

When he was praised by people he would pray to Allah saying:

“O Allah, You know me better than I know myself, and I know myself better than these people who praise me. Make me better than what they think of me, and forgive those sins of mine of which they have no knowledge, and do not hold me responsible for what they say.”

“If you expect the blessings of God be kind to His people.”

One day he called `Umar and counseled him till `Umar cried. Abu Bakr  told him:

“If you keep my counsel, you will be safe; and my counsel is: Expect death always and live accordingly.”

“Glory to God who has not given to his creatures any way to attain to knowledge of Him except by means of their helplessness and their hopelessness of ever reaching such attainment.”

Abu Bakr  returned to Allah on a Monday (as did the Prophet himself) between Maghrib and `Isha on the 22 of Jumada’l-akhira, 13 A.H. May Allah bless him and give him peace. The Holy Prophet  once said to him: “Abu Bakr, you will be the first of my people to enter paradise.”

The Prophet’s  Secret passed from Abu Bakr  to his successor, Salman al Farsi .

Prophet Muhammad ibn Abd Allah (S)

How can people in this world grasp his reality?
They, who are asleep and pleased by dreams from him.
How beautiful what has been said about his reality!
Your light is everything and everything else is particles.
O Prophet, your soldiers in every time are your Companions!

                                                                   Imam Busayri, al-Burda

The Shaykhs of the Naqshbandi Order are known as the Golden Chain because of their connection to the highest, most perfect human being, Muhammad  , the First to be created, the First to be mentioned, the First to be honored.

When Allah ordered the Pen to write, it asked, “What shall I write?” and Allah said, “Write ‘La Ilaha Ill-Allah.’” The Pen wrote “La Ilaha Ill-Allah” for seventy-thousand of Allah’s years and then it stopped. One of Allah’s days is equal to one thousand of our years. Then Allah ordered it to write again, and the Pen asked, “What shall I write?” and Allah answered, “Write Muhammadun Rasul-Allah.” And the Pen said, “O Allah, who is this Muhammad that You have put Your Name next to his name?” Allah said, “You must know that if it were not for Muhammad I would not have created anything in Creation.” So the Pen wrote Muhammadun Rasul-Allah for another seventy-thousand years.

When did Allah order the Pen to Write? When did the Pen Write? When did that writing of “La ilaha ill-Allah Muhammadun Rasul-Allah” occur? No one knows. The mention of the name of the Prophet  by Allah, Almighty and Exalted, is something which happened before the creation of anything, and its reality occurred in pre-Eternity. That is the reason the Prophet  mentioned, “kuntu Nabiyyan wa adamu bayni-l-ma’i wa-t-tin” – “I was a Prophet when Adam was between water and clay.”

He is the Perfect Human Being. He is the Seal of all prophets and messengers. What can a weak servant say in order to honor the Master of Messengers? If it were not for him, no one would ever have known Allah, Almighty and Exalted. Never would the fabric of the universe have been woven into existence as it has been woven. Therefore the pen cannot describe the most perfect of the Perfect human beings, the Master of Masters, the King of Kings, the Sultan of Sultans of the Divine Presence.

He is the Heart of the Divine Presence. He is the Heart of the Unique Essence. He is the Sign for Oneness and the Sign of Oneness. He is known as the Secret of All Secrets. He is the only one addressed by Allah Almighty and Exalted, because he is the only one considered Responsible in the Presence of Allah who said, “Were it not for him I would not have created any of My creation.” All of the creation was given to the Prophet  as a divine gesture of honor from Allah, Almighty and Exalted. Therefore the Prophet  is responsible for that creation which is his honor and his Trust. For that reason he is the only one to be addressed in the Divine Presence.

The singular status of the Prophet  is the heart and the Essence of the phrase of tawheed

[La ilaha ill-Allah Muhammadun Rasul-Allah] and the foundation of Sufism. The Prophet  is the “one soul” mentioned in the Qur’anic verse, “[O Mankind] Your creation and your resurrection is in no wise but as an individual soul” [31:28]. It is also the Prophet  who is the “single life” represented in the verse,

”If anyone slew a person… it would be as if he slew the whole people: And if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people.” [5:32]

The Prophet  , moreover, referred to his responsibility in the hadith: a`malakum tu`radu `alayya kulla yawm, “All your actions are shown to me every day. If they are good, I pray for you; if they are bad, I ask Allah’s forgiveness for you.” That means that the Prophet  is the one who is responsible towards God for his Community. That is why, as we said, he is “the only to be spoken to.” It is the meaning of Intercession. Allah refers to this intercession in the verse,

“If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah’s forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-Returning, Most Merciful” [4:64].

His honorable biography and his blessed speeches and actions can never be encompassed in a book. But we can say that he is Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abdul Muttalib ibn Hashim and that his lineage goes back to Ibrahim  . He was born in Makkah al-Mukarrama on a Monday, the 12th of Rabi`ul Awwal, 570 CE, in the Year of the Elephant. His mother, Sayyida Amina, when she gave birth to him, saw a light coming from her that turned all darkness into light as far as Persia. When he was born, the first thing he did after coming from his mother’s womb was to fall into prostration. His father died before he was born. He was nursed by Thuayba and then by Halima as-Sa`diyya, with whom he stayed for four years.

While returning with him from a visit to his uncles in Madinat al-Munawwara (at that time Yathrib), his mother fell sick and died. He was six years old. His grandfather raised him for two years, until he also died. Orphaned three times, he went to live with his uncle, Abu Talib. Allah Almighty and Exalted ordered the Angel of the Trumpet, Israfil  to accompany him at all times until the age of eleven years. Then Allah ordered Jibril  to accompany him and to look after him and to keep him in his safekeeping, and to send to his heart heavenly and spiritual Powers.

He traveled with his uncle to Sham (Damascus). On their way they passed by Basra where a monk named Buhaira, living in a monastery nearby, told his uncle, “Take him back, it will be safer for him.” At that time he was twelve years old. Years later he traveled again to Sham with Maysara, to trade on behalf of the Lady Khadija  . They were very successful. Maysara told Khadija about his miraculous powers and his business acumen and she became interested in him. She proposed marriage and he accepted her offer. He married her when he was 25 years of age and she was forty.

He was known throughout his tribe as as-Sadiq al-Amin, the Truthful and Trustworthy One. When he was 35 years of age, the Quraish Tribe was renovating the House of Allah, the Ka’aba. They disputed among themselves as to who should put the sacred Black Stone (hajaru-l-aswad) in its place. They finally came to an agreement that the most trustworthy person should replace it, and that person was the Prophet  .

At that time inspirations and revelations were coming to his heart. He was always in a state of spiritual vision and insight, but he was not authorized to speak about it. He preferred to be alone and used a cave in a mountain called al-Hira for contemplation and meditation. He sought seclusion as the means to reach the Divine Presence of Allah Almighty and Exalted.

He avoided all kinds of attachment, even with his family. He was always in meditation and contemplation, afloat on the Ocean of the Dhikr of the Heart. He disconnected himself completely from everything, until there appeared to him the light of Allah Almighty and Exalted, which graced him with the condition of complete intimacy and happiness. That intimacy allowed the mirror of revelation to increase in purity and brightness, until he attained to the highest state of perfection, where he observed the dawning of a new creation. The primordial signs of beauty shone forth to spread and decorate the universe. Trees, stones, earth, the stars, the sun, the moon, the clouds, wind, rain, and animals would greet him in perfect Arabic speech and say, “as-Salam ‘alayka Ya Rasul-Allah” — “Peace be upon You, O Prophet of God.”

At forty years of age, when standing on the Mountain of Hira, there appeared on the horizon a figure he did not recognize, who said to him, “O Muhammad, I am Jibril and You are the Prophet of God whom He has sent to this nation.” Then he handed him a piece of silk which was decorated with jewels. He put it in his hand and told him, “Read.” He asked “What am I to read?” He hugged the Prophet  and told him, “Read.” He again said, “What shall I read?” He hugged him again and said,

Read, in the name of Your Lord, who Created,
Created man out of a blood-clot,
Read, and thy Lord is Most bountiful
Who has taught with the Pen,
Taught man what he knew not! [96:1-5]

Then he ordered him to climb down the mountain to the plains below; he placed him on a large white stone and gave him two green robes. Then Jibril  hit the earth with his feet. Immediately a spring poured forth and the angel made ablutions in it and ordered him to do the same. Then Jibril  took a handful of water and threw it on the face of the Prophet  . Sufi saints say that the water he threw was a sign that the Prophet  was granted authority to spread to human beings the Knowledge of the Secrets of Allah’s Divine Presence, either by physical means or by spiritual means. Then he observed two cycles of prayer (rak’ats) and told the Prophet  , “This is the way to worship,” and he disappeared.

The Prophet  returned to Makkah and told his wife all that had occurred. She believed him and she was the first Muslim. Then she went with the Prophet  to Waraqah bin Nawfal, her cousin, who was considered a person  knowledgeable in spirituality. The Prophet  told him what happened. He believed him and he was the first man to believe in the Prophet  . He said, “This is the Holy Spirit who descended on Moses  .” He said, “Would that I be alive when your people expel you from Makkah!” The prophet asked, “Are my people going to put me out of Makkah?” He said, “Yes, that is what is written.”

Then Abu Bakr  became a believer and he was followed by Ali  . In public the Prophet  gave guidance needed for daily life, and in private he would give the special advice needed for attaining the state of Ihsan  (perfect good character). That is why Abu Huraira  said in an authentic hadith mentioned in Bukhari, “The Prophet  has poured into my heart two kinds of knowledge: one I have spread to people and the other, if I were to share it, they would cut my throat.”

The knowledge Abu Huraira referred to is the hidden, secret knowledge that the Prophet  gave to his Companions. He did not authorize them to spread that knowledge because it is the secret knowledge of the heart. From these secrets all Masters of the Naqshbandi Golden Chain and all other Sufi Orders receive their knowledge. This knowledge was transmitted only from heart to heart, either through Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  or through Ali  .

For three years, as the Muslims increased in number, they used Dar al-Arqam as a mosque in which to teach, to worship and to hide. Then the Prophet  was ordered to proclaim the religion openly. Allah sent a surah of the Qur’an challenging anyone to write anything like it. Poets, leaders and famous people tried until they openly accepted the self-evident fact that it was not possible. Still the unbelievers went to his uncle, complaining, saying, “Give us Muhammad  so we may kill him.” He said, “No one can touch him as long as I am living.” The unbelievers tortured all those who did believe him. They kidnapped their wives, killed their children and raped their daughters. The new Muslims suffered all kinds of difficulties at the hands of the unbelievers.

For thirteen years the Prophet  stayed in Makkah, calling the people to Allah’s religion.

The unbelievers asked for a miracle or a sign in the heavens. The Holy Prophet divided the full moon in two in front of their eyes. Some of them believed and some of them did not. After this the persecution continued and some Muslims asked permission to emigrate. They emigrated to Ethiopia, where the King gave them refuge and, through their influence, became a believer in the Prophet  . They stayed there for five years before some of them returned to Makkah. The Prophet’s  uncle and then his wife Khadija al-Kubra  died. These were his staunchest supporters. It was the year of sadness.

A year and a half later, he was invited to the Presence of Allah, Almighty and Exalted. From Makkah to Jerusalem (Quds) he travelled accompanied by Archangel Gabriel (Jibril)  . From Jerusalem he ascended to the heavens by means of Buraq, a heavenly mount who carried him up. All the prophets in the different levels of heaven came to greet him. He ascended higher and higher, until he heard the scratching of the Pen, writing out God’s Decree. He approached the Divine Presence, closer and closer, until Jibril  said to him, “Ya Rasul Allah (O Prophet of God), I cannot continue further, or I will be extinguished.” The Prophet  said, “O Jibril, accompany me!” He said, “I cannot, or I will be burned in Allah’s Light.” So Muhammad  , the most Perfect of the Perfect, continued alone. Driven by his love for Allah’s Divine Presence he approached closer and closer, achieving the State of Complete Annihilation in five different stages.

From one stage to another the Prophet  moved into Allah’s Divine Secrets. Between each stage was five hundred thousand years. He passed through these vast Divine Oceans of Knowledge, which Allah Almighty and Exalted has created, until he was completely dissolved in Allah’s Existence, seeing nothing except Him. Then Allah called him to return to existence after he had reached the State of Annihilation. He returned and Allah told him, “O Muhammad, Approach closer.” From this it is understood that the Prophet  , having reached the State of Complete Annihilation, was called by Allah by his name, indicating that he was appearing anew with Allah’s Appearance. He reached so near to the Divine Light, that he was ”two bow-lengths or nearer” [53:9]. Allah asked him, “Who are you, O Muhammad?” At that time the Prophet  was not conscious of himself and he replied: “You, O my Lord.” This is the perfection of the state of not associating anyone with Allah. It is the perfect sign of Tawhid (Oneness), when nothing exists except His Glory, His Essence, Himself.

Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani has related, from the hidden knowledge of the Sufi saints, some of the events that occurred on that incredible journey of the Prophet. This is knowledge from the Prophet which Abu Huraira referred to in his hadith, knowledge passed down from the heart of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq. The Prophet  said, “Whatever Allah poured into my heart I poured into the heart of as-Siddiq.” This knowledge was then passed to the Naqshbandi Sufi saints and constitutes their spiritual inheritance.

Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani said, “Allah Almighty and Exalted said to the Prophet  on the Night of Ascension, O Muhammad, I have created all of creation for your sake, and I am giving it all to you. At that moment Allah granted the Prophet  power to see all that He had created, with all of their lights and all of the favors that Allah had granted His creatures by decorating them with his Attributes and with His Divine Love and Beauty.

“Muhammad  was enthralled and enraptured because Allah had given him the gift of such a creation. Allah said to him, ‘Ya Muhammad, are you happy with this creation?’ He said, ‘Yes, My Lord.’ He said, ‘I am giving them to you in Trust to keep, to be responsible for, and to return to Me just as I gave them to you.’ Muhammad  was looking at them in delight because they were illuminated with beautiful lights, and he said, ‘O My Lord, I accept.’ Allah said, ‘Are you accepting?’ He replied, ‘I accept, I accept.’ As he finished replying the third time, Allah granted him a vision of the sins and the many forms of misery, darkness, and ignorance into which they were going to fall.

“When Muhammad  saw this he was dismayed, wondering how he would be able to return them to His Lord as clean as in their original state. He said, ‘O My Lord, what is this?’ Allah replied, ‘O My beloved, this is your responsibility. You have to return them to Me as clean as I gave them to You.’ Then Muhammad  said, ‘O my Lord, give me helpers to help me clean them, to sanctify their spirits, and to take them from darkness and ignorance to the state of knowledge, of piety, of peace and love.’

“Then Allah, Almighty and Exalted, granted him a vision in which he informed him that out of this creation He had chosen for him 7,007 Naqshbandi Saints. He told him, ‘O My beloved, O Muhammad, these saints are from the most Distinguished Saints that I created to help you in keeping this creation clean. Out of them are 313 who are in the highest, most perfect state in the Divine Presence. They are the inheritors of the secrets of 313 Messengers. Then I am giving you forty, who are carrying the most distinguished powers, and they are considered the Pillars of all saints. They are going to be the Masters of their times and they are going to be the Inheritors of the Secrets of Reality.’

“‘At the hands of these saints everyone will be healed from his wounds, both externally and internally. These saints will be able to carry the whole Nation and the whole of Creation without any sign of tiring. Every one of them will be theGhawth (Arch-Intercessor) in his time, under whom will be the five Qutub  (Spiritual Poles).’

“The Prophet  was happy and he said, ‘O my Lord, give me more!’ Then Allah showed him 124,000 saints, and He said, ‘These saints are the inheritors of the 124,000 prophets. Each one is an inheritor from one prophet. They also will be there to help you clean this Nation.’

“While the Prophet  was ascending to the Divine Presence, Allah caused him to hear a human voice. The voice was that of his friend and closest Companion, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  . The Prophet  was told by Allah Almighty to order Abu Bakr as-Siddiq to call all the Naqshbandi saints: the 40, the 313, and the 7,007, and all their followers, in their spiritual forms, into the Divine Presence. All were to receive those distinguished Lights and Blessings.

“Then Allah ordered the Prophet  , who ordered Abu Bakr  , to call the 124,000 saints of the other 40 Tariqats and their followers to be given that Light in the Divine Presence. All of the Shaykhs began to appear in that gathering with all of their followers. Allah then asked the Prophet  to look at them with his Prophetic power and light, and to lift them all to the station of  Siddiqin, the Trustworthy and the Truthful. Then Allah Almighty and Exalted said to the Prophet  , and the Prophet  said to the saints, ‘All of you and all of your followers are going to be stars shining among human beings, to spread that light which I gave you in pre-Eternity to all human beings on earth.’”

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim says, “That is only one of the secrets that has been revealed about the Night of Ascension to the hearts of the saints through the transmission of the Golden Chain of the Naqshbandi Order.” Many more visions were given to the Prophet  , but there is no permission to unveil them.

That Night, the Prophet  was ordered by Allah to perform 50 prayers a day. He shortened it to five prayers a day on the advice of the Prophet Moses (Musa)  . He returned from that Night Journey, and the first one to believe him was Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  . The unbelievers, hoping to ridicule him, asked him to describe Jerusalem. He described it in all its details, and the unbelievers were humiliated.

Persecution against the Prophet  and his Companions escalated. Then Allah sent him the Ansar (Helpers) from Madinah. Islam had begun to spread among the tribes of this small oasis not far from Makkah. Allah gave the believers permission to migrate to Madinah, the home of the Ansar. Abu Bakr  wanted to migrate, but Muhammad told him, “Don’t leave yet, wait, and maybe you will travel with me. There is a very important event which must happen.”

The Prophet  fled at night with Abu Bakr  and left behind him Ali  to impersonate him in his bed. On the way he stopped to hide in the Cave of Thawr. Abu Bakr said, “O Prophet, don’t enter, I will enter first.” In his heart he thought that there might be something harmful inside and he chose to encounter it first. He found a hole in the cave. He called the Prophet  to come in and he put his foot over the hole.

The Prophet  came in and lay down with his head on Abu Bakr’s thigh. A snake inside the hole began to bite the foot of Abu Bakr. He tried not to move although he was in great pain. Tears flowed down his cheeks. One warm tear dropped on the blessed face of the Prophet  . At this, as was mentioned in the Qur’an: “He said to his friend, Grieve not for verily Allah is with us.” [9: 40] and he also said, “What do you think of two when God is their Third?” [57: 5]. Abu Bakr said to the Prophet, “O Prophet of God, I am not sad, but I am in pain. A snake is biting my foot and I am worried that it might bite you. I am crying because my heart is burning for you and for your safety.” The Prophet was so pleased with the reply of his beloved Companion that he hugged Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  , put his hand on his heart and poured the knowledge that Allah had given him into the heart of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq. That is why he said in a hadith, “Whatever Allah poured into my heart, I poured into the heart of Abu Bakr  .”

Our Grandshaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani says, “Following this the Prophet put his other hand on the foot of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq and read, Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim, and the foot was immediately healed. Then he ordered the snake to come out and the snake came out, coiling itself in front of the Prophet  . Then the Prophet said to the snake, ‘Do you not know that the flesh of a Siddiq is forbidden to you? Why are eating the flesh of my Companion?’ He replied to the Prophet in a perfect and pure Arabic, ‘O Prophet of Allah, were not all things created for your sake and for your love? O Prophet, I too love You. When I heard that Allah Almighty and Exalted said that the best nation is your nation, I asked Him to prolong my life and grant me the honor of being among your nation and looking at your face. And Allah granted me that wish and that honor. When Abu Bakr put his foot in that hole, it blocked my sight. I wanted him to move his foot to enable me to see you.’ The Prophet  said, ‘Look at me now and fulfill your wish.’ The snake looked and looked; after a while, it died. The Prophet  ordered the Jinn to carry the snake away and bury it.”

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim says, “These are secrets that have been given to the hearts of the Naqshbandi Saints.” He continues the story thus: “Then the Prophet  said to Abu Bakr, ‘There was no need to stop in this cave, except that a significant event will happen here. The Light of the root of the spiritual Tree which is going to spread over all humanity, the Light coming directly from the Divine Presence, will appear here. Allah has ordered me to transmit it to you and to all the Naqshbandi Sufi followers.’

“This lineage was not called the Naqshbandi at that time, but was known as the Children of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, and he was known to saints as the ‘Father’ of this line.

“Then Allah asked the Prophet to order Abu Bakr as-Siddiq to call all the Masters of the Golden Chain who are the inheritors of Abu Bakr. The latter called the Grandshaykhs of this Golden Chain, all of them, from his time down to the time of the Mahdi  . All of them were called through their spirits from the World of Souls. Then he was ordered to call the 7,007 Naqshbandi Saints. Then the Prophet  called the 124,000 prophets.

“Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, by order of the Prophet  , ordered every grandshaykh to summon all his followers to appear spiritually. Then Abu Bakr as-Siddiq ordered all the Shaykhs to take the hands of their followers to receive initiation. He put his hand above them all, and then Muhammad  put his hand above all of them, and then Allah put His Hand, the Hand of Power (Qudrat), over them all. Allah by Himself, put on the tongue of everyone present His recitation (talqeen az-Zikr), and He told the Prophet to order Abu Bakr as-Siddiq to order all the saints present with their followers to recite what they were hearing from the Voice of Power:

All of those present followed their Shaykhs and the Shaykhs followed what they heard the Prophet reciting. Then Allah Almighty and Exalted taught the secret of the Dhikr, known as Khatm-il-Khwajagan, to Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujduwani, who led the first dhikr among the saints of this Order. The Prophet  announced to Abu Bakr, who announced to all saints, that Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani is the leader of the Khatm-i-Khwajagan. Everyone was honored to receive that secret and light from Khwaja Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani, in the presence of all saints, in the presence of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, in the presence of The Prophet  , in the Presence of Allah.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim said, “Anyone who accepts initiation from us or attends our Dhikr must know that he was in the cave at that blessed time, in the Presence of the Prophet  , and that he received all of these secrets then. These secrets have been transmitted to us from the masters of the Golden Chain, through Abu Bakr as-Siddiq.”

Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  was overjoyed and astounded with what took place in that cave, and he understood why the Prophet had chosen him to be the companion of his migration. The Naqshbandi Shaykhs consider the events in the cave as the foundation of the Tariqat. Not only is it the source of the daily wird (devotion) but the souls of all members of the Order were present together at that time.

After the events in the cave, they continued on to Madinat al-Munawwarah. When they reached Quba, a village near Madinah, on a Monday in Rabi’ul Awwal, they stopped for several days. There the Prophet  built the first mosque. They continued on their way on a Friday, after praying the Friday Prayer at Quba. It was the first Jum’a that he prayed. He entered Madinah with his friend, amid shouts of takbir (ALLAHU AKBAR) and tahmid (AL-HAMDU LILLAH) and the excited, joyful happiness of everyone. He moved to the place his camel stopped, and it is there that he built his mosque and his home. He stayed as a guest in the home of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari until his mosque was built.

When the Prophet  came to Madinah, it was full of diseases. As soon as he arrived, the diseases disappeared. Following is a brief list of the main events of the next ten years.

Year One – The Prophet  was inspired to call the people to prayer by means of the human voice (Adhan).

Year Two – He was ordered to institute the monthly fast of Ramadan, and he was directed to face the Ka’aba in Makkah during prayers, instead of towards Jerusalem as they had done previously. It was the year that he fought the unbelievers in the decisive Battle of Badr.

Year Three – The Prophet  fought the unbelievers at Uhud.

Year Four – The battle of Bani Nadeer took place, and permission was given for shortening the prayer during traveling and fighting. Alcohol was forbidden. Tayammum, or ritual purification with sand when water is not available, was allowed and the “prayer in fear” was authorized.

Year Five – The battle of Khandaq took place and the defection of Banu Quraizah and Mustaliq occurred.

Year Six – The Treaty of Hudaibiyya took place as did the Pledge of Loyalty — the model of Sufi initiation — under the Tree. The fifth pillar of the religion, the obligation of Hajj, also came in this year.

Year Seven – The battle of Khaibar took place.

Year Eight – The events of Mu’ta, the peaceful conquest of Makkah and the battle of Hunayn occurred.

Year Nine – The battle of Tabuk occurred and the Pilgrimage of as-Siddiq. It was called the Year of Wufud.

Year Ten – The Prophet  made what is known as the Farewell Pilgrimage.

Year Eleven -The Prophet  passed on to the other life.

Description of the Holy Prophet’s Features

Allah Almighty and Exalted adorned the Prophet  with His Divine Lights and Manners, and then He added more by saying to him: “Truly you are of a magnificient nature” [68:4].

The Prophet  was neither tall nor short, but he was of middle height. He had broad shoulders. His color was light, neither dark nor white. He had a broad forehead, with heavy eyebrows, not connected but with a blaze shining like silver in the middle of them. His eyes were large. His teeth were very white, like pearls. His hair was not curly nor was it straight, but in between. His neck was long. His chest was broad, without much flesh. The color of his chest was light, and between his sternum and his navel was a line of hair. He had no hair on his chest other than that line. His shoulders were wide and had hair on them. On his shoulders were two seals of Prophecy. All his Companions used to look at them. The right shoulder had a black beauty mark, and around it were some small hairs, like the hairs of a horse. His forearms were large. His wrists were long. His fingers were also long. His palm was smoother than silk. Whenever he put his hand on the head of a child or a man, the beautiful scent of musk came from it. Wherever he moved, a cloud moved with him that shaded him from the heat of the sun. His sweat was like white pearls, and its smell was like amber and musk. The Companions said they had never seen anything like it before.

The Holy Prophet  used to look down more than he raised his head. Whoever saw him from afar was amazed by him and whoever knew him intimately loved him. He was most handsome both in his external appearance and his internal appearance.

Amr ibn al-`As said, “No one was dearer to me than the Holy Prophet  nor was anyone more glorious than him in my eyes. So bright was his glory that I could not look at his face for any length of time, so that if I were asked to describe him I would not be able to as I had not looked at him long enough.”

The Prophet  was the bravest among people, the most just and the most generous. He used to walk alone among his enemies at night without a guard. He was never afraid of anything in this world. He was the most modest of his person, the most sincere, and the most pious. He never spoke just to spend time. He preferred silence to speech and never showed pride, although he was the most eloquent speaker.

Allah gave the Prophet  mastery in politics and mastery in private conduct. Although he didn’t write or read, Allah raised him from the land of ignorance, taught him the best of manners and the best of ethics.

He was the gentlest of men, the most tolerant, the most merciful, as Allah Himself called him “Kindest and Most Merciful” [9:128]. He smiled at everyone and joked with everyone in a decent way. Alone he was always crying and entreating Allah for forgiveness for his Ummah. He was always contemplating and meditating. He always used to sit to remember Allah by reciting Dhikr.

He used to walk with the widow and orphan. He showed humbleness to unbelievers, wishing them to become believers. Someone asked him “pray for Allah to curse the unbelievers.” He said, “I was not sent to curse but as a Mercy. I will ask for them to be guided because they don’t know.”

He called everyone to Allah. He never humiliated the poor. He was never afraid of a king. He always chose the easy way, according to Allah’s wish [2:185, 20:2]. He laughed without making a sound, not out loud. He always said, “serve your people.” He used to milk his goats, serve his family, patch clothes, walk sometimes barefooted, visit the sick, even if they were unbelievers or hypocrites, visiting the graves of believers and greeting them, training with the sword, learning the bow and arrow, riding the horse, riding the camel, riding the donkey. He used to eat with the poor and wretched. He always accepted a gift graciously, even if it was a spoonful of yogurt, and he used to reward it. He never ate from sadaqa (charity), but immediately passed it on to the poor. He never kept one dinar or one dirham in his house except he gave it to the poor. He never came home until he spent all that Allah had given him.

He was very good to his family and to his friends. He urged his friends to walk in front of him and walked behind them. He said, “leave my back for angels.” His companionship was the companionship of patience and shyness. Whoever argued with him saw patience from him, and he did not reply to those who insulted him. He never came against anyone in anger nor ever used bad language. He was never angry for himself and was only angry for his Lord’s sake. He used to eat with his servants. He never slapped anyone with his hand. He never punished for a mistake, but always forgave. His servant Anas () said, “In all my life, he never asked me once: why did you do this, or why didn’t you do that?”

The Clothes of the Holy Prophet

He used to wear whatever he found, cotton or wool, but mostly he used to wear cotton. He liked green clothes. Abu Huraira  says, “He wore the long, loose shirts, the burda and the habra and the jubba, and he wore the turban with a face-veil and loose-ended, the izar and the rida’.” Jabir ibn Samurah () says, “I saw the Prophet  on a moonlit night. He had a red cloak over his body, and I looked attentively in turn towards him and the moon. Certainly, he appeared to me more beautiful than the moon itself.” He used to wear the white turban and the black turban and sometimes the red turban. He used to leave a tail at the back of his turban. Imam Tabari said “he used to have a turban of seven arms’ length.” He had a turban by the name of Sihab (the Clouds) which he gave to Ali (). He used to wear a silver ring on his right hand, engraved with the words “Muhammadun Rasul-Allah.” He used to wear khuffs (leather socks) on his feet. He liked perfumes and fragrant scents.

He never saw ease and would not possess even a bed, as he wished to make his abode in the next world. His mattress was made from tree-leaves. He had a big cloak which he used to put on the floor and sit on. Sometimes he use to sleep on a reed mat or directly on the floor.

The Miracles of the Holy Prophet

He was a healer for himself and for others. He used to heal by reciting Qur’an on the sick person. He warned people to avoid too much eating. He performed countless miracles. He prayed that Ali not feel the hot and cold weather, and he never felt them. He prayed for Ibn `Abbas to be a genius in religion, jurisprudence, and explanation of Qur’an, which came to pass. When Qutada’s eye fell out of its socket, he put it back, and Qutada was able to see with it better than he ever had before. He rubbed the foot of Ibn Abi `Atiq when it was broken and it healed immediately. The moon split on his order as a sign to the unbelievers. Water sprang forth from his fingers from which a whole army drank and made ablution. From a small cup of water, water was pouring, making the desert like an oasis. The branch of a tree under which he sat, bowed in a gesture of love as he stood up to leave. The minbar (pulpit) at which he used to preach, used to give a moaning sound, as if crying for him. The stones praised Allah in his hand, so that everyone heard them. The animals complained to him. The deer and the wolf testified to his prophethood. He predicted that his daughter Fatima would be the first to follow him in death. He foretold Uthman Dhu-n-Nurayn, his third caliph and son-in-law, would be assassinated. He announced the murder of al-Aswad bin Annasi on the night of his death in Sana’a in far off Yaman. He mentioned the death of the King of Persia to his Companions on the exact moment that it happened. He ate meat full of poison, but nothing happened to him though the one who ate with him died immediately. Countless other miracles could be mentioned.

The Sayings of the Holy Prophet

No one can make a complete account of his sayings. Even if the seas of this world were ink and the trees were pens no one could write all the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad  . Thousands and hundreds of thousands of his ahadith(narrated sayings) have been written from what he was saying and it was known as the `Ilm al-Hadith or Science of Prophetic Narration.

He said:

“Allah rewards people according to what they achieve.”

“Allah said, whoever comes against one of My saints, I will declare war against him.”

“Allah’s saints are under his domes. No one knows them except Him.”

“Be near the poor [meaning the spiritual poor] because they have a government of their own.”

“Be in this world as a stranger and a guest, and make the mosques your homes, and teach your heart leniency, and make much remembrance and cry much.”

“How many people welcome a day whose end they will not live to see, and expect a tomorrow which they do not reach?”

“Say the truth, even if to your detriment.”

“Make everything easy and don’t make it difficult. Give good tidings and don’t cause people to run away.”

“Allah said, ‘O Son of Adam, you will get what you have intended, and you will be with the one whom you love more.’”

“Keep Allah and He will keep you. Keep Allah before you. If you need help, ask His Help.”

“Be austere in this lower world and Allah will love you. Be austere with what is in the hands of people and the people will love you.”

“The one who has the most perfect mind is the one who is most fearful of Allah.

“Beware of the lower world because it is a black magic.”

“Refrain except from good speech.”

“Give back the Trust and don’t betray it.”

“When Allah loves someone, He will put him in difficulties.”

“When Allah wants good for His servant, He will guide him to someone that shows him the way.”

“Forgive, and Allah will forgive you.”

“Be merciful, Allah will be merciful with you.”

“The one under the heaviest punishment on the Day of Judgment is a fierce scholar.”

“The one under the heaviest punishment on the Day of Judgement is a scholar whose knowledge did not benefit him.”

“Ask Allah forgiveness and health.”

“Keep what you are doing secret.”

“The most sinful person is the one whose tongue is always lying.”

“All Creation is a servant of Allah. The most beloved to Him among them is the one that helped his brothers.”

“The best deed is when people will be safe from your tongue and your hand.”

“As long as you say ‘La ilaha ill-Allah’ (No god but God) it will lift Allah’s punishment from you and change you for the good.”

“O People, are you not ashamed that you collect more than you eat, and you build houses more than you need to live in?”

The Passing of the Holy Prophet

When Allah Almighty and Exalted perfected his Nation and completed His favor on His Prophet  , He transferred him to a house better than his house, and to a Friend better than his friends. Allah Called his soul in his last days. As a result, his final sickness began in the last ten days of the month of Safar, in the house of his wife Maimuna . When his sickness intensified, he transferred to the house of `Ayesha . He was sick for twelve days. He used to send Abu Bakr as-Siddiq  to lead the prayers as a sign to the Sahaba that he had chosen him as his successor.

He passed away on a Monday, the 12th of Rabi`ul Awwal. Wrapped in his nightgown, he was washed by Sayyidinas `Ali, `Abbas ibn `Abd al-Muttalib and his two sons, Qutham and Fadl. `Usama bin Zaid and Shakran were pouring the water which Awwas Khazraji was bringing from the well. As they performed their washing, the body exuded beautiful scents, so that `Ali  said continually: “By God, what would I give for you! How sweet you are and how wholesome you are, both alive and dead!” His Companions entered his house one by one to pray on him, then ladies prayed on him, then children prayed on him. He was buried in the same place he passed away, in the house of `Ayesha . Abu Talhah Zayd ibn Sahl  dug his grave and those who washed him lowered his blessed body into it. Then it was covered and leveled and they threw water on it.

People were bereaved, tongues were silent. The world seemed darkened. No one knew what to say. The Holy Spirit — the angel Jibril  – was no longer to come bringing revelation. The Prophet’s  death was the greatest disaster for every Companion. Many people were crying and shouting. But Allah sent supporters for His religion, because that was the Seal of Prophets. He sent a Renewer (mujaddid) of this religion century after century. Saint after saint, we find that every grandshaykh of the Most Distinguished Naqshbandi Order was like a shadow of the Prophet  , reviving the deen (religion) and training the seekers to find their Lord as the Companions had been trained.

The secret of God’s strong support and pure guidance passed from Muhammad  to his beloved friend, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq. What the Prophet  poured into the heart of Abu Bakr () no one knows. May Allah send upon our Prophet more and more of His Light! He was sent as a Mercy for human beings and his secret passed from one saint to another to support this religion and to bring his secret to the hearts of human beings.

This is the silsila Allah placed me in, Journey To The Lord Of Power – My Miraj is an account of the night Allah granted me this. The following only makes sense after reading that, on that night I took from the prophet (saws) directly then I was placed in this silsila, Allah wanted me to make tasawwur of every shaykh in it, when I reached the middle of the silsila while looking at them I began to wonder about their names for the first time and the Mala’ikah began telling me but something made them stop, another Angel said their wasn’t time. Because before hand I already took from the prophet (saws) directly instead of them, which is usually the case with other shuyukh, I never asked about the names of all of them I only had time to look and take from the state of each one, there was urgency because this came when my life was in danger and in the dream the Mala’ikah were taking me from one event to another as soon as something finished.

My link in the silsila begins with one of the last three shuyukh, when I looked into this later the prophet (saws) inspired my heart and told me it was not someone close to my time, my heart tells me Abu Muhammad al-Madani but it could be Sharafuddin ad-Daghestani and possibly Abdullah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani, I dare not guess and get it wrong, my heart is primarily connected to the prophet (saws) and my life revolves around that.

Reaching The Arsh With Your Heart

Bismillahi rahmani raheem, assalamu alaikum

This is the complete spiritual path, the complete journey, the complete Tariqah, its aims, goals and everything it is trying to achieve;

Imam Tustari said in his famous Tafsir: “the nafs (self) has seven celestial veils (hujub samawiyyah) and seven earthly veils (hujub ardiyyah)”, veils cover the nafs and our perception about things…“when ever man buries his nafs (self) in earth upon earth (ardan ardan), (lowers his esteem and ego), his heart (qalb) is raised up heaven upon Heaven (sama’an sama’an). And when he (completely) buries the nafs (ego) under the ground (tahta at tara), the heart reaches the throne” (Arsh), in its perception and the place it receives its spiritual nourishment from.

The role of the spiritual heart is to look into ghayb (the unseen) and gather information about your world. As you humble yourself before Allah, place sincerity and humility in your heart before Him, you aren’t, in reality, lowering yourself, you are in reality raising your heart, the thing that controls your senses and how you feel the world around you is being raised closer to Allah, until it reaches the Arsh in the place it receives its information from.

The heart in our chest senses into ghayb, the subatomic part of the universe to gather information about things we are doing in life, we call these insights into matters or moments of wisdom and inspiration. Allah created seven heavens, seven sub atomic depths, a person with a shallow heart can only sense to the first few depths to gather knowledge in his life.

So, his decisions are short sighted since materialism or focusing on material things makes the heart shallow in its decision making, it’s like a chemical reaction and this is the inevitable result for the person. Ghayb is were people gain wisdom from and the prophets recieve revelation and ti has seven depths untill it reaches the Arsh, sidrat al Muntaha in the Quran, the fursthest subatomic depth of the universe.

Allah mentions the heart reaching the Arsh and recieving from that depth in the Quran; “By the Star when it setteth, Your comrade (Muahmmad) erreth not, nor is deceived (by what He saw on the night of Isra wal Miraj); Nor doth he speak of (his own) desire. It is naught save an inspiration that is inspired (into the heart)…When he was on the uppermost horizon (of the universe near the Arsh). Then he drew nigh and came down. Till he was (distant) two bows’ length or even nearer (From Allah), And He (Allah) revealed unto His slave that which He revealed. The heart lied not (in seeing) what it saw. Will ye then dispute with him concerning what he seeth? And verily he saw him yet another time. By (sidrat al muntaha) the lote-tree of the utmost boundary (At the base of the Arsh), Nigh unto which is the Garden of Abode (the seventh Jannah). When that which shroudeth did enshroud the lote-tree (when what covers most peoples inner perception, covered the lote tree), The (prophets) eye turned not aside nor yet was overbold (did not get distracted). Verily he saw one of the greater revelations of his Lord.”(surah – 53)

There is an immense amount of knowledge in each depth of ghayb about everything in life and each of the prophets that Muhammad (saws) saw on the night of Isra wal Miraj, in the different levels of Jannah, was an expert of that depth (that type of knowledge).

“The Prophet (saws) ascended until he reached the first heaven. When the Prophet and Jibril arrived at the first heaven, Jibril requested the gate to be opened. The angel assigned to that gate asked Jibril, “Who is with you?” Jibril answered, “It is Muhammad.” The angel asked Jibril, “Was he dispatched? Is it time for him to ascend to heaven?” Jibril said, “Yes.” So, the gate was opened for him, and the Prophet Muhammad entered the first heaven.”

“There, Prophet Muhammad saw Prophet Adam. To Adam’s right, the Prophet saw some bodies, and to Adam’s left, other bodies. If Adam would look to his right he would laugh, and if he would look to his left he would cry. Adam was seeing the souls of his descendants. Those on his right were his descendants who would die as believers and those on his left were his descendants who would die as non-believers.” (Adam the first man was an expert of the first spiritual depth mans heart would ever perceive after being created. This is the beginning of man’s spiritual journey through time).

“Then the Prophet ascended to the second heaven. In this second heaven was the Prophets Isa and Yahya. Isa and Yahya are cousins; their mothers were sisters. They welcomed the Prophet and made supplication (dua’) for him for good things.” (The place of each prophet from here has to do with their life story, His specific mission from Allah for humanity, and the state of the people He was sent to, and how spiritually advanced or simple they are because He was sent to cure and elevate them. Isa (as) was sent to materialistic people who only understood simple spiritual things, every time He (as) shared His (as) wisdom with them rather than dissect the wisdom or even challenge it with their own wisdom they made fun of His (saws) words like children, this was their mental state. Isa (as) said “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” they were lost in materialism and thus shallow, which is why He (as) and Yahya (as) were experts in the second heaven).

“The Prophet then ascended to the third heaven, where he found the Prophet Yusuf. The Prophet Yusuf was extremely handsome. Allah bestowed half of all beauty on Yusuf. Yusuf received the Prophet with a warm welcome and made supplication (dua’) for him for good things.”(Isa (as) knows how to cure materialism which is why when the Dajjal comes to spread it on earth Allah will send Isa (as) to kill him. Being lost in Materialsim stops you from sensing deeper than the second depth of ghayb, but the beauty we see on this earth, the beauty of nature and the things Allah placed in it, perceiving that and loving it is from the third Jannah and Yusuf was a master of that knowledge. Allah opened for mankind everything relating to the beauty Allah gave to the prophet Yusuf (as) so they can know it and experience it completely, hence beauty as we know it today is because of Him (as). The wisdom in Beauty is that attraction leads to knowledge, maarifah of that thing and from there deeper wisdom is gained about the world as it is carefully studied. Which leads to the kind of knowledge inspired by the next depth, or Jannah, and that is science and the Prophet (saws) responsible for it).

“Then the Prophet ascended to the fourth heaven, where he found the Prophet Idris. Idris welcomed the Prophet and made supplication (dua’) for him for good things.” (Allah gave Idris (as), who was one of the first prophets, knowledge of outer space, writing, mathematics, the calendar with knowledge of all things relating to it, knowledge of the seasons and many other things we take for granted today. From this we can understand the kind of spiritual depth required for people to master these and similar scientific subjects).

“In the fifth heaven, the Prophet encountered Harun, the brother of Prophet Musa.” (He was the advisor to the prophet Musa (as) who was the master of spiritual openings, so the fifth heaven or depth of subatomic space is where true spiritual openings begin. These prophets are singled out, even though all prophets reached the Arsh in their hearts, because it was through them that Allah introduced these things to the world for the first time.)

“In the sixth heaven, he encountered the Prophet Musa (saws).” (kalam Allah, the one Allah spoke to directly and sent him to al khidr to learn and master this subject we are discussing in this work, He is an expert of one of the deepest spiritual depths. Reaching the sixth depth of Jannah is where regular spiritual openings occur to a person, that is the meaning behind the story of Musa (as) and al Khidr in the Quran, after learning from al Khidr Musa (as) would have surpassed Him (as) because He is the master of this knowledge in Jannah).

“Each of these Prophets received the Prophet Muhammad with a warm welcome and made supplication (dua’) for him for good things.”

“Then the Prophet ascended to the seventh heaven, and that is where our Messenger saw the Prophet Ibrahim. The Prophet Ibrahim is the best of the prophets after our prophet, Muhammad. The Prophet saw the Prophet Ibrahim with his back against al-Bayt al-Ma’mur (which is like the Kaaba for Angels).” (Ibrahim (as) is the master of the deepest spiritual depth before the Arsh because He became Allah’s friend, so reaching this depth means you are granted friendship with Allah, and the term wali in reality means the friend of Allah. Your heart is now able to put the real picture of what life is meant to be, together to see it clearly, and from that see Allah’s hand in the universe working. Reaching this means you are now able to worship Allah as if you see him, which is the meaning of the word Ihsan (human perfection) that the prophet (saws) gave to Jibril (as) when the Angel asked Him (saws). From Ibrahim (as) would come the Jews and Arabs, the two people that would achieve the most in the way of Allah from the children of Adam).

“Then the Prophet ascended to what is beyond the seven heavens (into the Arsh, Angels and their knowledge stops at the Arsh, but mankind does not because of the kind of soul Allah gave them).” (Our prophet Muhammad was the beloved of Allah, He (saws) was a master of all spiritual depths and their knowledge, because through him Allah would open for mankind the science behind all things in the universe which was then granted to mankind; “In time We shall make them fully understand Our messages

[everything they perceive] in the utmost horizons [of the universe] and within themselves [the microscopic and sub atomic], so that it will become clear unto them that this [revelation] is indeed the truth.” [Qur’an 41:53] There are some from mankind who Allah allows to reach past the seven heavens and into the Arsh with their heart, which in its depth is larger than the seven heavens combined, this is also what the prophet (saws) saw on the night of Isra wal Miraj, He (saws) saw a youth run ahead of him into the Arsh, reaching this far with your heart means you are now one of Allah’s beloved people.)

“Say, “We have believed in Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction (in rank) between any of them, and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him.”(3:84)

“The messenger believeth in that which hath been revealed unto him from his Lord and (so do the) believers. Each one believeth in Allah and His angels and His scriptures and His (prior) messengers – We make no distinction between any of His messengers – and they say: We hear, and we obey. (Grant us) Thy forgiveness, our Lord. Unto Thee is the journey.”(2:285)

The Source Of Each Knowledge

Here are the 8 spiritual depths (corresponding to each level of Jannah/space) that the heart is inspired by as it moves closer to Allah.

  1. Allah – Each person is born on a fitrah, Allah has placed in their heart that He exists, and to know Him you have to know what He created so you can see His qualities in order that when you finally see Him you have certainty of what He is like from your experiences in life.
  2. Materialism – Perception and knowledge Of the Physical World around you, (learning how to live and survive).
  3. Beauty – Perception of the Universes Natural Beauty (the first type of spirituality man experiences), love and Attraction is the source of all openings in the heart.
  4. Science – Attraction leads to in depth study of what you’re interested in or love, about a third of the Quran is Allah asking man to study the world and the universe more closely, “Who hath created seven heavens in harmony. Thou canst see no fault in the Beneficent One’s creation; then look again: Canst thou see any rifts (faults)? Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim (by the amount of what you will find exists).”(67:3-4).
  5. Insight – Beginning of Inspired and deeper thoughts, Wisdom begins here and comes from knowing the details of how things work.
  6. Inspiration – Wisdom is mixed with experience, true Wisdom is gained and your thoughts are guided to the truth by the Angels.
  7. Sainthood – Wilaya, you become the friend of Allah and the Angels walk with you in life, shaping your perception so it is prepared to see Allah. Here you gain spiritual insights into matters and see them coming from a distance, thus you begin to put the complete picture of life together from its many spiritual and physical parts, using the knowledge of the previous levels to see the highest form of science (truth, knowledge, the actual reality of matters) in the universe. The closest thing man has to this today in the world is the study of subatomic space and the universe, how it works, how it was created and what it looks like. In the old world this was the highest aspect of Aqeedah that only the scholars and awliyah studied or understood. “Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty (control of the Universe), and, He is Able to do all things (in it). Who hath created life and death (the systems that make them work) that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving. Who hath created seven heavens in harmony (the seven regions of subatomic space). Thou canst see no fault in the Beneficent One’s creation; then look again (into subatomic space): Canst thou see any rifts?(tears in the harmony) Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim. And verily We have beautified the world’s heaven (Beauty leads to science, so study what you are attracted to)”(67:1-5)
  8. Allah’s Beloved – Your heart and soul have now entered the Arsh, a place Angels can’t go, you have completed the picture of the universe, understand what Allah created from the inside out and consequently see Allah in it and worship Him as if He is next to you, as if you see Him. Once you complete this path Allah makes you one of His mercies to the worlds, the universe, because its spiritual creatures will now learn from you. This is a description given to the prophets (as) in the Quran but its meaning is the reality of anyone who reaches this far, the prophets reached it with complete perfection and that is their distinction. At this point, the Angels take advice from you because your heart takes input from a place deeper than their existence. The great wali of Allah Abdul Qadir al Jilani said, there are shaykhs to people, shaykhs to Jinn and shaykhs to Angels, those who lead the Angels, and this is the meaning behind Allah asking the Angels to prostrate to Adam and mankind, the Angels now follow His lead in life because Allah demonstrated that He surpassed them.

One thing we can see from this is that irrespective of how shallow a person’s heart is, they can still be knowledgeable and shallow at the same time, to what ever extent, but the things they are knowledgeable about are not deep matters becouse they have no real sense of them.

A person to whom Allah gives wisdom his heart can sense deeper into ghayb, sub atomic space, to gather knowledge about the things he is focusing on in life, and as a result, his decisions have more insight, are more accurate, reveal the truth more often, have more consideration and are wise.

“He granteth wisdom to whom He pleaseth; and he to whom wisdom is granted receiveth indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the Message but men of understanding (men who have depth).”(2:269) pay attention to the phrasing, wisdom comes from the heart and His gift is overflowing, pouring out of the heart, pouring out of what it senses in ghayb.

This is why when Allah grants prophethood to someone he expands their heart (to ghayb), this means he allows their heart to reach to the deepest depth in ghayb, or sub atomic space, so it can gather information and sense from the depths of the universe about everything spiritually attached to an object or person.

Musa (saws) understood this and asked for it specifically when Allah granted him (saws) prophethood, “(Moses) said: “O my Lord! expand me my breast; Ease my task for me; And remove the impediment from my speech, So they may understand what I say.”(20:25-28)

Allah similarly said to the prophet (saws); “Have We not expanded thee thy breast?- And removed from thee thy burden.”(94:1-2)

As a result of this opening of the heart to new subatomic depths people gain insight and wisdom, but when you reach even deeper your insight becomes so straight and correct it becomes firasa, inspiration about the truth of matters.

You see our actions in life shape our future and how we will “look” as we age, “Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope. For it (is only) that which it hath earned, and against it (only) that which it hath deserved.”(2:286) this is all a result of our deeds in life, the effects (results) of our actions attach themselves to us spiritually or sub atomically shaping us as we age. This happens to everything in existence as it ages, what it did or occurred to it, its effects are attached to it shaping its appearance and qualities, so Angels, Jinn and those who have firasa can see the truth about matters, its true nature and qualities, that exist in ghayb because of that…Insha Allah, you can see this is all from science and the systems Allah created in the universe.

There are many ahadith and verses that explain this, but we won’t write a tafsir here; “We shall seal your mouths on that Day, and let your hands speak to us and your feet testify to what you had achieved.”, “That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.” (36:65) what your hands used to earn or what your hands used to achieve from your work is exactly how your actions shaped your limbs as you aged.

The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “Ittaqo firasatal Mumine, fa innahu yanzuru be Noorillahi”, “Beware of the intuition (firasa) of the believer. Verily, he sees with the light of Allah.” Then the Prophet recited the verse, “Verily, in that are signs for those of discernment (lil mutawassimeena, those who discern between truth and illusion, fancy, those whose insight is only the truth about matters).” (15:75) (Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3127)

Allah describing all of this said in a hadith Qudsi said; “…My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him…”

This “is a light that Allah bestows in the heart of his servant by which he distinguishes between truth and falsehood, advantage and disadvantage, and the honest and the liar”, and when the heart reaches the Arsh in its depth it gathers the most amount of information about a thing before drawing the picture for the person.

The Prophet (saws) himself taught us the science behind all of this;

Imam Abd al-Razzaq narrates that Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) said: “I said: O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, tell me of the first thing Allah created before all things”. He said: “O Jabir, the first thing Allah created was the light of your Prophet from His light (all light is made of particles, so the prophets light was the first particle to come into existence from which Allah created the rest of the universe), and that light remained (lit. “turned” as all particles spin) in the midst of His Power (control) for as long as He wished (shaping it and influencing it. In modern scientific terms entangling it as he wished), and there was not, at that time, a Tablet (that preserves everything) or a Pen (that records and sees the future path of everything, quantum entanglement as we know it now did not exist yet) or a Paradise (that displays Allah’s blessing) or a Fire (that displays Allah’s punishment) or an angel (that works and creates for Allah) or a heaven (sub atomic space) or an earth (any physical thing) or a sun or a moon or a jinn or a man (any creature. This is the first moments of the universe before it expanded and created everything in it).

And when Allah wished to create creation, he divided that Light into four parts (this is exactly as physics calculates today, that particles split and created each other and the first particles were four in number which came from one single particle) and from the first made the Pen (before the Arsh, the boundary of the universe), from the second the Tablet (was created before the Arsh, meaning the shape of the universe we know did not exist yet), from the third the Throne (Allah creates the outer boundary, shape and edge of the universe. The Pen observed everything created after it, and the tablet preserved everything it witnessed after its creation, so they came first and the shape of the universe last), and then he divided the fourth [particle] into four [other] parts and from the first he created the bearer of the Throne (first Angels), from the second the Footstool (Kursi, the second boundary of the universe after the Arsh, or the second sub atomic depth of the seven Allah created, or the location of the 6th Jannah), from the third the rest of the angels (exactly as science teaches topday, everything is created from subatomic particles, but the prophet (saws) taught this in the language of the arabs 1400 years ago).

Then He divided the fourth into four other parts and created from the first the heavens (sub-atomic space as we know it, the universe was cooling at this point and changing, which is why the light particle we know today, the photon, could not exist until after it cooled to this point. This change is also why some ahadith seem to overlap in what they are referring to, but in reality they represent the same thing changing into something else), and from the second the earth (physical matter), and from the third the Paradise (everything in the seven Jannah’s is created after the space that it will exist in, is created first) and the Fire (black holes), and then he divided the fourth into four parts and created from the first the Light in the believers visions (the images we see in our mind, the brain creates its own light), and from the second the light of their hearts (the heart also creates light, an electromagnetic field) which is knowledge of Allah (how the heart knows Allah. The heart gathers knowledge about the world using this electromagnetic field just like animals use it to sense their prey. But this is so we can ultimately know Allah…through the same way we have explained in this article about how the heart works), and from the third the light of their inner harmony (Uns, living harmony between the spirits, the soul of man the light of the Angels and the light of Allah, in physics this is called the coherence of waves. The inner most light inside the heart) which is the Tawheed (the light that allows us to connect with the light of the Angels and His light to recieve revelation, inspiration or maarifah, so we can know that) ‘There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, etc…”. (Abd al-Razzaq (d. 211) narrates it in his Musannaf according to Qastallani in al-Mawahib al-laduniyya (1:55) and Zarqani in his Sharh al-mawahib (1:56 of the Matba`a al-`amira edition in Cairo). There is no doubt as to the reliability of `Abd al-Razzaq as a narrator. Bukhari took 120 narrations from him, Muslim 400).

“Allah is the Light (particles) of the heavens and the earth (that our heart senses. His will is carried by the events of the universe and the heart learns from that)…Light upon light (particle within particle). Allah guideth unto His light (Allah guides the heart to see the correct picture) whom He will (the heart achieves correctness as Allah wills, based on our actions). And Allah speaketh to mankind in allegories (to explain science), for Allah is Knower of all things.”(24:35)

Shaykh Rami Al Rifai.

A Sad Story

At the end of the path/tariqah Allah opens the world of the Mala’ikah to you; Hanzala reported: “We were in the company of Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) and he delivered to us a sermon and made a mention of Hell-Fire. Then I came to my house and began to laugh with my children and sport with my wife. (Hanzala) further reported: I went out and met Abu Bakr and made a mention of that to him. Thereupon he said: I have done the same as you have mentioned. So, we went to see Allah’s Messenger (way peace be upon him) and said to him: Allah’s Messenger, Hanzala has turned to he a hypocrite. And he (the Holy Prophet) said Show respite. And then I narrated to him the story, and Abu Bakr said: I have done the same as he has done. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Hanzala, there is a time for worldly affairs and a time for (worship and devotion), and if your state of mind is always the same as it is at the time of remembrance of Allah, the Angels would shake hands with you and would greet you on the path by saying: As-Salamu-Alaikum.” (Muslim)

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Verily Allah ta’ala has said: ‘Whosoever shows enmity to a wali (friend) of Mine, then I have declared war against him. And My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more loved to Me than the religious duties I have obligated upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to me with nafil (supererogatory) deeds until I Love him. When I Love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, and his sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him; and were he to seek refuge with Me, I would surely grant him refuge.’ ” [Al-Bukhari]

This is the tariqah of tasawwuf/Ihsan explained in a single hadith, that opening, “When I Love him”, is the opening to the world of Ghayb initially and then the world  of the Mala’ikah eventually.

This is because the Mala’ikah are Allah’s hand in the universe and what the hadith is describing is the process of the Mala’ikah coming to you, when you reach “his hand with which he strikes” that is when the world of the Mala’ikah becomes open to you, and when you reach “his foot with which he walks” and completed that then you have perfected your Ihsan and become worthy of Allah saying you walk with Him and at that point the Mala’ikah will do as you ask completely, “Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him”, this when you see the wali performing what to us look like miracles but in reality are the Mala’ikah moving the universe as He instructs them.

Allah is often more merciful than that and his servants receive sooner because most live through trials not of their own making, some peoples trials are so severe He says to them “do as you wish I have forgiven you”, such were the people of Badr who were guaranteed Rahma.

Bismillahi rahmani raheem, this is an account of a conversation that occurred recently between myself and a Muslimah from Malaysia, although she wasn’t Malaysian but an Arab living there.

She was someone Allah and the prophet (saws) instructed me to help, the prophet (saws) went out of his way to assure me this was the person Allah spoke to me of, but ultimately fear of what I was warning her about being true won over her heart and she was lost to someone evil who befriended her under false pretences.

Some time ago the prophet (saws) informed me that before a fitnah in my life would lift Allah would send us a women to teach, she would be a sign for me that what was affecting my life is ending.

It was maybe over a year after this before the women finally contacted me asking questions about the Human soul and the Lataif in Islam for something she was working on.

Here is what she said;

AsSalamu-alaykum Shaykh Rami,

How are you?

When I typed in your email address it came up in my contact list. I have a feeling I may have contacted you almost 20 years ago in Australia to ask a question. I’m not sure. (She contacted me after the prophet (saws) spoke to me the first time, but she did not stay long after receiving her answers, her heart wasn’t receptive yet so I prayed to Allah to send her back if this was her, she also had just befriended this friend and wasn’t under her fitnah yet.)

I would like to ask you a question or two regarding the ‘ruh’ or ‘spirit’ as described by Imam Al-Ghazali in his Wonders of the Heart.

As I mentioned before, I am currently do a course in Spiritual Psychotherapy. After much research and exposure to the various healing modalities I have noticed a common thread in all where reference is made to a ‘life force’. It appears to be present in almost all ancient and spiritual traditions and all recognise it to have very similar functions for overall wellbeing.

I find it fascinating that Imam Al-Ghazali (and Shaykh Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani and Ibn Sina (though some question his authority)) also describe something very similar.

They also make a point of it residing in the heart. This is actually a little difficult to explain in writing… however, I have been told that their observations are debatable and that to claim that what they’re referring to is the same as what is described by the other traditions (e.g. Chinese – Qi, Indian- Prana etc) would be blameworthy since no conclusive evidence would suggest that this ‘ruh’ is the same.

It is important for me to know if any of our scholars do consider this to be the case AND if in fact this ‘spirit’ (also known as the ‘Breath of Life’) does reside (or pass through) the heart (as mentioned by the scholars above).

This particular piece of information happens to make an important connection between this life force and the heart. I have a theory about the hearts role in regulating the life force by way of its own state, that is, if it’s very dis-eased, the balance and harmony of the life force is in turn corrupted in some way hence causing blocks and disruption to its flow and ultimately leading to various forms of physical illness.

I understand it is quite complicated and maybe not a clear cut matter. As their opinions stand, however, am I at liberty to quote Al-Ghazali and others to support my work? There is much more to my work, especially in relation to the heart specifically and its role in healing and its apparent direct relationship with this life force. But it’s too much to mention here.

Please forgive my very long email. It was hard to make this concise and I happen not to be very good at that anyway.

I did read your article on this. If I’m not mistaken I see you have made a distinction between the life force and the ‘soul’. This makes sense, too. However, in the work of some scholars it appears that they could be the same…? And, Allah knows best. May He keep us only within the safe bounds of Truth, always.

Jazak Allah Khair.

Thank you.

WasSalam.

I wont repeat the entire correspondence except for the first Question and Answer;

Bismillahi rahmani raheem, assalamu alaikum. These people you are referring to are any of them your teachers? there is an important principle among the scholars of tasawwuf that you don’t speak about something you don’t have experience with. If your teachers are masters at your craft but not tasawwuf, then you can ignore their advice in regards to anything the scholars of tassawwuf have said, that isn’t their area of expertise and they have no place passing advice like this, which at its heart is wrong. If they are masters of Tasawwuf then it is just they are following one school and teaching you that, so respect of their words is always important.

The problem with this entire area of knowledge today is that you are being taught the traditional sciences of Islam but if I said to you, because we are dealing with science not law or Aqeedah, would you today rely on science that is 500 years old, what you are relying on is far worse the interpretation of science that is 500 years old by people who don’t know science.

That isn’t criticizing the scholars of old they were using science to describe the universe, that is criticizing the people of today who have done no work to translate what those scholars said into modern science and are now teaching the laws of science from that time like it is magic, and calling it the spiritual world…Hope that makes sense, the scholars are talking about science in the language of their time nothing more. You have to understand the entire picture to see how everything fits in together, you want to heal the body, you have to know human physiology like a doctor, that should be something you look into. Life force is the power that comes from the soul to empower the body, daylight comes from the sun which creates it.

” their observations are debatable and that to claim that what they’re referring to is the same as what is described by the other traditions (e.g. Chinese – Qi, Indian- Prana etc) would be blameworthy since no conclusive evidence would suggest that this ‘ruh’ is the same.”

That can not have come from a person who is guided, blameworthy means Makruh, hated by Allah, and that statement is a lie against Allah who never spoke about such a thing. Be careful who you take your deen from sister this person is either salafi, deobandi or something of that nature, maybe even a fake sufi. In Islamic law one of the principle’s (Usul) of our Deen is that everything is permissible unless Allah mentions it is Haram, this is how the scholars passed down Fatwa for 1400 years other wise life would have been hard for people who would need a fatwa to do the simplest of things.

When the fitnah of the Salafi’s and Wahabi’s came they took this principle that all of Islam revolved around and flipped it backwards, they lied and said “everything is Haram unless Allah says it is Halal” so they can control the lives of people, this is how you get fatwa by them on women driving cars while the prophet (saws) permitted reasonable travel in places of safety for them, and other idiotic statements we have seen in the media (Allah clearly says in the Quran what is Haram is only for Him to decide, this is where this Usul principle comes from yet you will find them openly contradicting the Quran, Allah and every scholar in History).

The observations of Imam Ghazali are Law when these people are concerned, the scholars where not studying the world under a microscope and guessing what is right or wrong, they were being shown the universe and what is in it by the Mala’ika, I am speaking from my own Maarifah on this matter and know very well to what extent Allah shows the universe to His people, some scholars spoke to the prophet (saws) in their lifetime like you speak to someone on the phone or make a video call to, others spoke to him (saws) like you are speaking to someone in front of you, that is how accurate they are.

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “Whoever sees me in a dream will see me when he is awake; the Shaytan cannot take my shape.” (Bukhari)

I know this first hand, see my description of the Arsh in the notes section of my Facebook page. You may find other scholars who disagreed with Imam Ghazali, but ask yourself one simple Question are they Awliyah, one of the Arifeen, knowers who Allah revealed things to, or are they just lawyers (Faqih) simply objecting based on logic and what they think. If Imam al Ghazali disagreed with Imam Abdul Qadir al Jilani that is one thing, because they are similar Authorities, but if this disagreement was with say Ibn Kathir then you ignore Ibn Kathir who Allah did not open the universe to, and so they can only speak from logic and what they learned from books. (Allah revealed the universe to them and they used science to describe what they saw, insha Allah soon i will share one of my accounts and you will see how Allah does this with absolute clarity, today they guess at things like black holes while Allah took the prophet Idriss (as) to see one. Any errors come from the ability of science to describe the universe which they relied on to teach something they witnessed, errors don’t come from the ability of the Awliyah to learn from Allah.)

“It is important for me to know if any of our scholars do consider this to be the case AND if in fact this ‘spirit’ (also known as the ‘Breath of Life’) does reside (or pass through) the heart (as mentioned by the scholars above).”

The soul is in the chest, that is what I have read, personally i would say it covers the entire body, the heart is the window of the body to the soul, the spiritual heart is always looking at the soul and taking from it this is how you sense the world around you, the science of this the prophet (saws) mentioned in ahadith, he (saws) called it the light of the heart by which people know Allah.

The life force you are talking about, our physical contact with it is through the nervous system and all the organs, this is a matter of physics and physiology you have to know both so learn about them if you want to lead in this subject. Even if the life force ran through every inch of the entire body energy which is made of sub atomic particles focuses around centers of gravity (Any place that has Mass) and follows its paths like water flows down a river, energy follows the path of least resistance in the body, and that is the physical pathways that already exist in the body, the nervous system, which is like a river of electrical impulses…a river of sub atomic particles.

The physics of the nervous system influences the physics of the life force, just like the gravity of earth influence humans who live on it. You have to come to terms with the fact that everything in the universe is made of sub atomic particles, even the Angels and the Human soul which the prophet (saws) said explicitly in Ahadith, these particles are all governed by the laws of physics meaning we know how they behave and don’t behave from our study of them.

The next thing you have to understand is that you have to translate for yours self the science of old into modern science because we are both studying the same human body otherwise their language will start to sound like magic.

“I have a theory about the hearts role in regulating the life force by way of its own state, that is, if it’s very dis-eased, the balance and harmony of the life force is in turn corrupted in some way hence causing blocks and disruption to its flow and ultimately leading to various forms of physical illness.”

That is exactly what Chinese medicine says about this, the prophet (saws) said “Seek knowledge even unto China”, how can any Muslim then say learning from them is reprehensible, they are directly disobeying the prophet (saws) or worse deliberately misguiding Muslims.

“I did read your article on this. If I’m not mistaken I see you have made a distinction between the life force and the ‘soul’. This makes sense, too. However, in the work of some scholars it appears that they could be the same…? ”

Don’t worry so much about that, you can take them as the same because the soul creates the life force in the body, if you turn of the light bulb the light in the room disappears, we can’t touch the soul but we can influence the life force through the nervous system and that is what is relevant to your work. You can quote the scholars if you like, in general can you tell me the qualifications/caliber of who you are talking about next time, their words are concerning to say the least. Shaykh Rami Al Rifai.

After this reply we had a back and forth over deeper point’s that lasted for a few days, one thing was consistent in all her correspondence, proper Islamic Adab. I am contacted by people all the time about various things and i can tell you in over a year none have had the proper adab in conversation, some try, some fake it but unless you have actually learnt it and practised it all your life, even if you wanted to fake it you still wouldn’t know it.

From this I could clearly see what Allah saw in her and why he wanted me to help her and why the prophet (saws) would speak to me about her multiple times in a very short period of time to make certain I recognized who she was.

As I continued to speak with the sister we began discussing deeper matters, then eventually as she was expressing her understanding she began to repeat my own private thoughts back to me almost word for word on subjects I looked into over a year ago, but never mentioned anywhere. That is when I knew Allah had allowed our souls to meet long before meeting in life, the prophet (saws) said Allah takes the souls of the believers when they are asleep. At this time they talk to each other about the subjects they will talk to each other when they meet in life.

I knew from this Allah allowed us to talk so we would know each other in life, I don’t doubt the same occurred with my two cousins despite not seeing them for a long time, this is how qualities are passed on from one person to the next, their souls meet and talk, as a result they acquired my qualities even though we hadn’t seen each other in years.

At the same time I began to notice something was wrong, something was affecting her speech like a sihr was used to cut of her train of thought. I would ask her a question and she would reply and not answer the question, then she would immediately write and apologise, I remained mindful but let it go for now.

She mentioned that she Had a shaykh who she followed and that He took particular care in her instruction because she had recently been seeing things from Allah. I asked her about them and she said Her mother saw her in a dream from a distance, she had something written on her face so her mother came close to see what it was, she Had Allah written on her face in Arabic.

That’s when I immediately understood Allah was speaking to me and telling me how to help her, because In my life that is something very specific and significant to me, and Allah was using it to inform me of something.

Through this Allah confirmed my suspicion that sihr was affecting her, but i didn’t know the source yet so I began asking the Mala’ikah to look into some things surrounding her and deal with them. Over the next few days as I was helping her I eventually came across an evil in the world which I asked the Mala’ikah to deal with in a specific way, as they did the fitnah that was affecting me began to lift and I saw a strong light of Islam shinning from the place it had been which dispersed the darkness that was there and scared away the shayateen with its light, it was so strong and intense.

In general I will explain what I did, after seeing its nature, this fitnah was a fitnah of the nafs that made the claim on a world scale its people are the most intellectually superior in the world and with that they were attacking people around the world stunting their growth, this was part of the Maskh the prophet (saws) said would attack people, the prophet (saws) said it was introduced into the Ummah, from outside of it, by Saddam Hussain in Iraq then it will cover the entire Ummah as more leaders sought to control their countries with more subtle methods of control, like the Maskh of a population.

So I asked the Mala’ikah to hold over it the Maqam of one of Allah’s awliyah and test the truth of their claims, if they spoke the truth nothing would happen, but they lost completely and their evil couldn’t persist.

This is how reality and delusion work, Allah allows you to create delusions in the universe because it is part of people’s freedom to make mistakes, but the occultists of this world have learned how to use Mass delusion to make their world a reality, therefor when you challenge delusion with Haq it disappears so everything they are doing is temporary until Allah challenges it with the truth.

Had these people conquered the world with Haq, despite not being Muslim, they would have had an empire that lasted as long as the Roman empire which was pagan, but delusion disappears from the world faster than oppression.

I understood after all of this why the prophet (saws) was insistent on helping Her, Allah allowed me to find what was affecting me and its origin and free my self of it, the fitnah was now broken.

In her first response the sister mentioned she was working on something, it turned out she was working on a project for an Initiative a friend of hers which she met a year earlier was involved in and organising. Now that friend wanted to speak to me and gain my advice regarding her work and so she asked if she could contact me.

Some time later Her friend sent me two documents she was working on, presentations, which outlined a new initiative she was organising in Malaysia and that region to bring together all people of spirituality, scholars and Mureeds, Muslim and non Muslim, and provide support for them. Before reading the documents properly I asked two questions, who was behind the initiative and who was funding it, why do they want to gather all these people in one place.

That is when her correspondence stopped, she never replied, but as we spoke I noticed three shayateen I had never seen before enter my house and begin paving the way for her in my life, smoothing over anything negative and hiding any suspicion regarding her. That is when I knew what she was, so I read her documents more carefully.

As soon as I began reading the sihr that was in them hit me so hard I doubt she knew what the word subtle meant. The Prophet (saws) said “in sweet language there is sihr”, the underlying principle is that language can be used to delude people and cloud their minds. Her documents were laced entirely with it all through out the language she used which wanted me to ignore any suspicion and not question anything, what was worse is that it was written like something the Military wrote for a program they developed, or some research institute working for the Military, if you understand language you understand where expressions come from.

So I began investigating who was behind this new movement and asking the Mala’ikah to take care of every Issue I came across. In one of the documents was a list of organisations involved and as I looked into them and who funded them, it became clear this entire initiative was an attack on Muslims in Malaysia and Indonesia by the people who run the major corporations of the world (You will see from the list below).

As I identified these people, at every step, I again asked the Mala’ikah to deal with the matter, I received so much help from them that a Jinn who was witnessing this asked one of the Mala’ikah next to me, “Can you really see everything” (About them), to which the Angel replied “I see right to the end when Allah will collapse the mountain on them”.

This is the exact conversation I heard, what He was referring to and I was shown what the Angel was talking about as He spoke, was the hidden Bunker/facility these people in charge of these corporations will eventually seek sanctuary in, they built it inside a strong mountain, from a distance it looked like Mount Assiniboine, a pyramidal peak mountain located on the British Columbia/Alberta border in Canada, it has an Elevation of 3,618 m.

I saw Allah collapse it on them as a punishment to show them they will find no place safe in the world when they try to run and hide from everything they caused, everything that is happening to the world.

I saw the entire mountain come down on their facility and they where all crushed. This was the kind of people her friend was involved with and now I found the source of sihr that was affecting the sister, so I began dealing with it.

The British at one point in history boasted about the railroad of networks they built around the world that allowed them to get at anyone apposing them. The Bible said this was a network of shayateen that Iblis gave them control over, this is how they built their empire, as I spoke to her friend and these Jinn entered my home to pave the way for her, I realised what she was because I had seen this kind of thing before every time I had spoken to someone who was a Freemason.

I dealt with that and I began dealing with her, most of the time when ever this occurred local jinn are obliged to let these shayateen do their work and not get in their way, its a political agreement they abide by. What I found from my own experience of dealing with these people is that when you accuse them with Allah of being a Freemason that gives local Jinn the freedom to step in and deal with them because the matter is now in the open and you recognise them for what they are.

They have to now step in because it is no longer hidden and they don’t want this group to gain any power locally, this is the arrangement and this is how to deal with this fitnah by shinning a light on it.

Most Jinn don’t like them and see them as something very dirty that needs to be dealt with before it spreads.

So I accused her in front of Allah and the Mala’ikah that witnessed what I was doing of being a Freemason and a Kafir to ensure the Mala’ikah throw that at her face as the prophet (saws) said would happen.

Not long after that two female Jinn came into my house and stood tall over one of these shayateen that was helping her and said to them, while referring to the women I was talking to so I understood, You swallowed their party line hole. Meaning she whole hardheartedly adopted masonic practice without hesitation to get ahead in the world, and after reading her documents it was obvious she was a Masonic witch responsible for indoctrinating new members and destroying Islam in the region through this initiative and its structure.

She must of been capable or they would not have put her in charge, but I’ve dealt with people more capable than her.

The document spoke about organising every kind of spiritual teacher and student into one of a number of consecutive circles, the organisations responsible for the initiative are in the inner most circle and the scholars and shaykhs at the outermost.

I doubt she thought i would see into this or she would not have sent it to me, but when you subscribe to an organisation you are also subscribing to the spiritual reality and structure of that organisation, your world will now react to you according to this artificial structure. This is one of the hidden realities of the universe Allah teaches His people about and it is a fitnah gripping the world because it is covered with organisations at the head of which are degenerates and Mufsideen deliberately placed there because they also understand this reality.

This initiative was designed to spiritually place the kufar above the scholars of Malaysia in the name of aid and to ultimately destroy their authority and spiritual presence in the country, thus ending Islam and turning it into Dubai or some other place where Islam is only there in name. I can easily point this out in minute detail from the documents, but this account would get to long.

As I was dealing with all of this I looked at the Facebook page of the sister i was trying to help to see if could find out more. That is when I noticed her photos, the photos from some time back, i think before she met this new friend, her face was full of nur (light) but in the most recent ones her face was dark and that nur was gone like someone had sucked the life out of her.

I saw how serious her condition was and that her religion was in danger but she didn’t realise it, she lived in Malaysia so I had limited contact, I then asked some of the strongest Mala’ikah with Allah to watch over her for the rest of her life and take care of the fitnah from this new friend, Allah wanted me to be thorough so I was, I instructed them that if this “friend” did anything else towards the sister to deal with her in the severest of ways, which they agreed to.

The Mala’ikah take matters extremely seriously when Allah is involved in something or the prophet (saws), and in this matter both had asked me to help her so I already knew the Mala’ikah would respond like this and made certain she was protected in every possible way from loosing her religion Insha Allah.

After seeing all of this and taking care of as much as I could I wrote her an email trying to teach her about her situation, this is that email;

Bismillahi rahmani raheem, assalamu alaikum.

Insha Allah I ask our conversations remain between us this helps protect the baraka in our words and ensures you get the complete benefit of my efforts.

I know why Allah sent you to me, this may not be easy for you but insha Allah you have enough trust in my words to take them seriously.

Do you know the saying read the fine print before signing anything, or watch the movie until the end of the credits, or the devil is in the fine print, the dream in which Allah was written on your face it relates to Allah teaching me how to see the spiritual fine print of things, especially companies, organisations and initiatives, insha Allah you can see what Allah asked of me regarding you from this, I checked spiritually and what I am saying to you is correct, your deen is in danger and Allah wants me to protect you.

Your friend sent me two documents which i went over, in the document were the credits, the list of organisations involved in the initiative you are helping. Before I go into that, do you remember the hadith of the prophet (saws) “In sweet language there is sihr”, the underlying principle of the hadith is that language can be used to cast sihr on a person, basically manipulate their perception so they become blind to something or delusional about what things mean, the first thing I saw when reading the documents was that there was sihr in the language.

It was unmistakable it hit me pretty hard, the language used cut’s short a persons perception and wanted us to take things at face value and not look past the good intentions of the work to see what is underneath. Any person reading this material or similar works will pick up some of its traits, like the persons language has been cut up or their train of thought has been cut short. I noticed this in your emails a number of times and wanted to get to the bottom of it, this is it sister. If you remember a number of times I asked you a question and a number of times you didn’t answer them but then sent me an email apologising, these are the symptoms of such sihr.

I don’t know your friend enough to accuse her of anything (I was being kind here and speaking from what little doubt I had left at the time, so I didn’t hurt her), if your wondering, she could be a victim like you, read enough of this material and eventually you start talking the way it is written then you spread it around and eventually think the way the language is designed, i know enough about language and how it can be twisted, at the moment my concern is you sister and I wont know anything about your friend until I talk to her for a bit longer.

Do you remember my first emails how I asked you about sihr and sent you that book, I noticed even before talking to your friend or seeing any of this, so Insha Allah you can see I am sincere from that.

That is the first Issue I noticed when reading the document and it hit me immediately, the second was the list of organisation involved which explained it all, i did a check to see who they are.

This is the list;

  1. Traditional Guilds
  2. Sufi Orders
  3. National Geographic Society
  4. Asia Society
  5. Sokka Gakai Society
  6. The Aspen Institute
  7. Integral Institute
  8. Alchemy Guild
  9. Lions Club
  10. Rotary Club

If i go through all them this email will be long, so i will pick just one, The Aspen Institute;

“The Aspen Institute is an international nonprofit think tank, The Aspen Institute is largely funded by foundations such as the Carnegie Corporation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Gates Foundation, the Lumina Foundation, and the Ford Foundation.”

When you see names like the Carnegie Corporation, Ford and Rockefeller, think new world order, the people working towards establishing one government to rule the entire world, the people working towards creating the system of the Dajjal that he will use to crush the world, the prophet (saws) said there will be forerunners to the Dajjal who will help pave the way for him, this is them.

Sister these are the people responsible for the fitnah in the world, they are the occult societies I mentioned and the prophet (saws) warned about, if you remember our conversation. The word think tank is a nice way of saying they think up strategies that keep their societies on top in what ever field they have their hands in, in this case religion and spirituality.

The document’s that were sent to me are all about bringing religious leaders, shaykhs and their mureeds under an umbrella corporation that would supply them with all their needs.

The people who pay the bills are the people in charge of you, this is a spiritual reality which impacts peoples lives, it means their Haq/world view will supersede your own spiritually because you took them as protectors over you, this is one way to dominate a people with out putting anyone in charge of them or over them.

When this happens in the world you see things like, say you get into an argument with a kafir, you quote the Quran but its words have no effect or spiritual impact, but when they Quote their kufr to you somehow their words carry more weight and you don’t know why.

This is why, they are paying for your clothes, books, shoes, supplies, resources, Imam Ali (ra) explained this when He said a country/people will never prosper or be free if they don’t make their own clothes and grow their own food, there are spiritual consequence’s to putting kufar over you and Allah warned about it in the Quran making it haram.

The Quran states it is Haram for a muslim to take the Kufar as Awliyah/protectors/Supporters;

“O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Awliyaa’ (friends, protectors, helpers), they are but Awliyaa’ of each other (Allah is telling you it is Haram to trust them). And if any amongst you takes them (as Awliyaa’), then surely, he is one of them (If you get involved with them Allah will consider you out of Islam, and He wont guide you anymore). Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zaalimoon (the people who took the Kufar as Awliyaa)”

[al-Maa’idah 5:51]

“You see many of them taking the disbelievers as their Awliyaa’ (protectors and helpers). Evil indeed is that which their ownselves have sent forward (Spiritually) before them; for that (reason) Allah’s Wrath fell upon them, and in torment they will abide (You are in this kind of Danger and Allah wants to save you from it).

And had they believed in Allah, and in the Prophet (Muhammad) and in what has been revealed to him (These Ayats I am Quoting), never would they have taken them (the disbelievers) as Awliyaa’ (protectors and helpers); but many of them are the Faasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient to Allah)”

[al-Maa’idah 5:80-81]

“Let not the believers take the disbelievers as Awliyaa’ (supporters, helpers) instead of the believers, and whoever does that, will never be helped by Allah in any way, except if you indeed fear a danger from them”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:28]

Don’t cut Allah out of your life because of them, they are not worth it, we do things for there benefit and Allah is telling you your efforts with them wont be rewarded by Him so don’t waste your life and akhira doing this work.

Insha Allah I haven’t upset you, I enjoyed teaching you and hope that continues, you don’t have to worry about this fitnah spreading I already took care of it, I asked the Mala’ikah (Angels) to deal with it and not long after I received a reply which let me know they wont let this effort continue, it will persist for a while then it will fizzle out when they see it wont receive support, they also confirmed what I thought about it sister.

What you have to worry about is quietly distancing your self from it, the verses in the Quran should be enough of a reason for you even if my arguments are not.

Khair Insha Allah.

Shaykh Rami Al Rifai.

Note: My words where to no effect despite this being fiqh in Islam, sadly she chose her friend over my advice because we had only known each other for a short period of time and unfortunately I haven’t heard from her since, I fear I my have lost her to this “friend” she chose to trust for over a year, so I gave her one more piece of advice.

I told her to recite surah al Zalzala over this matter because it help’s uncover secrets and anything hidden, insha Allah if she ever sees this work she understands my intentions better;

It’s entirely possible her friend was targeting me through her since she was responsible for why the sister contacted me, she was looking for shaykhs to enter the initiative, and because that witches sihr hit me openly and I had to deal with it before I could continue.

I’ve seen this kind of thing before a few times, people think they are smarter than they actually are or they think no else can see them or has experience with the world they are drowned in, some Muslim’s Allah shows them the fitnah that is killing the world so they can deal with it and those behind it, I am certainly one of these Arifeen.

There is an old saying in Islam, “Don’t ask the people of truth if you don’t want to hear the truth.”

I witnessed the amount of effort Allah put into helping her and the degree to which the prophet (saws) wanted to see what was best for her, so it is very sad the outcome was like this.

Most ordinary people are not equipped to deal with this kind of fitnah so I don’t blame her for not seeing it, or being able to cope with it, a person who has a good heart and maintains it Allah will send others to do that for them, so I think that’s what Allah had in mind, He knew how I dealt with fitnah in this world and so He arranged for her to meet me so I can help her in this way.

Insha allah you all learn and ask the Mala’kah to help fix the problems you see in the world, they are creatures of Ihsan and will go and look into something out of their Ihsan, so don’t worry if you are not a wali or have many faults, just say Ya Mala’ikah and ask, they have already said to me they will listen.

What The Arsh Of Allah Looks Like

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Imam Tustari said in his tafsir “Allah does no open the heart of a servant if it still contains three things, loving to remain (in this world), love of wealth, and concern about tomorrow.” The prophet (saws) said “What I fear most for my community, is that they follow their desires and have long hopes” because of what these things do to the heart.

The Imam also said in his Tafsir “the nafs (self) has seven celestial veils (hujub samawiyyah) and seven earthly veils (hujub ardiyyah)”, things that cover the nafs… in relation to mans character a veil is something that covers our inner perception about things…it makes our perception in varying degrees delusional, the imam then explained “when ever man buries his nafs (self) in earth upon earth (ardan ardan), (lowers his esteem and ego), his heart (qalb) is raised up heaven upon Heaven (sama’an sama’an). And when he (completely) buries the nafs (ego) under the ground (tahta at tara), the heart reaches the throne” (Arsh), in it’s perception and the place it receives it’s spiritual sustenance from.

This description is being given in regards to our other note “The Depth Of The Heart Is The Depth Of The Subatomic Universe and It Ends With The Arsh Of Allah” in which we related we had seen the Arsh of Allah in a dream (please see that note first);

“As i also related previously to those who asked, not long after we understood this matter and wrote about it in the journal, the prophet (saws) visited us in a dream with another prophet (as) and affirmed our understanding of the Arsh of Allah, after which i was blessed to see it.”

Usually such dreams are kept private for loved ones but we have spoken about this matter with others already who asked, and personally i would have loved it if others related what Allah gifted them when they experienced them, as the scholars often related their experiences and Allah said about the prophet (saws) in the Quran, “nor was he miserly of news from the unseen”.

That Night the Prophet Of Allah (saws) and The Prophet Ibraheem (as) visited us (we never saw the second prophets face later they corrected me and informed it it was the prophet Ibraheem (as)), and with them were two Angels, one standing next to me and the other in front of me, at the request of the prophet (saws) the one next to me opened the veils of creation so I could see the Arsh (Throne) of Allah very clearly like it was in front of me whilst awake, the other Angel had grabbed my shaytan (the enemy Allah specifically appoints to every person) so he couldn’t move or interfere and said to me he is exactly like you think He is, I saw him another day and thought he was a wolf in sheep’s clothing but he wouldn’t admit it even if I accused him. Then Rasul Allah (saws), after I looked at the Arsh for some time until it’s image was in my mind clearly, said to me the Arsh is exactly like you wrote, I wrote about it in one of my books (the chapter I mentioned earlier) about a week before this dream (it is the deepest subatomic layer in the universe), the prophet (saws) then instructed the Angel to make another opening in front of me near my chest, earlier I was looking up to see it, but now the prophet (saws) wanted to show me the Arsh directly in front of me to affirm what I understood, that it exists everywhere in the universe even on earth at the deepest subatomic depth, and to see it you have to remove the subatomic fields in front of it between it and us at the surface, it also extends to the edge of the universe and out surrounding it completely as narrations explain, the Angel removed the veils and I could see it again.

It was one of the most amazing experiences I had had, the Arsh is vast like an ocean, the largest thing Allah created, and insha Allah we will describe it;

After studying before hand what the scholars, ahadith and Quran all said about the Arsh and combining that with physics, I realized the Arsh isn’t at some distance away from us in the depths of space, like all scholars thought, it is spread out through all of space at the deepest subatomic depth of this universe, you can understand that from the verse that talks about sidrat al muntaha, which is the furthest limit in all directions, outward and inward, in all the created universe, the Angel confirmed this by showing me the Arsh above my head first then He removed the veils again at the height of my chest and told me to look down, I saw it just in front of me as well in that direction. Another indication is ayat al Kursi (2:255), the Kursi is another subatomic field, similar to the Arsh but exists closer to us, the area just before the boson particle field, this is why in metaphor it is called the Kursi (footstool) to Allah’s Throne (Arsh), and in the verse Allah says His Kursi covers the heavens and earth.

The Arsh itself makes a sound just like the prophet (saws) described in narrations which I heard, it was the sound itself above my head that woke me up in that dream first, if you ever hear the sound of space which they have recorded, that is similar slightly but not close or the same, it is a unique peaceful creaking sound which it makes in a similar rhythm to waves moving back and fourth at the beach.

The Arsh moves back and forth, visually if you watch this underwater video you will get an idea of what it looks like;

The colour of the Arsh isn’t water it is very similar to the inside of a mother of pearl seashell except with a dominant blue hue, in the video the water is shimmering and moving back and forth it does exactly that at almost the same speed but the shimmering of the Arsh is like watching the pattern inside the mother of pearl seashell shimmer and move back and forth, the viscosity is also much denser then that of water like something almost solid that moves fluidly like water with the pattern I described making a sound as it moves.

Here is an image similar to that pattern but it’s not the same, all of this will give you an idea but i don’t think any amount of words will describe it properly, a picture is worth a thousand words but a thousand words won’t paint a picture.

The Arsh is primarily blue, a Mother of Pearl Seashell has a similar pattern and luster to the Arsh of Allah, the pattern and luster move just like the water in the video, there is also more swirling in the pattern, the beautiful blue throughout is clearly the dominant color of the Arsh but not the only one, the shell pattern and color runs through the dominant blue giving it extra beauty and luster.

The Colour: It is a lot more beautiful than this, this is the closest thing I could find, the pattern of the Arsh is uniform and closer to the mother of pearl shell but the colour here is somewhat accurate without any dark ugly patches. In terms of look and feel it is somewhere between waves in an ocean and dense clouds in the sky, look at the lower left of this image that is the most accurate part.

Some blue Abalone shells are similar to it’s density and texture as it moves.

[Abalone shell, the shine the Throne isn’t off like this it is entirely soft and peaceful to look at like the mother of pearl shell. Many Prophets Have Seen The Throne In Visions But They Where All Shown Metaphors Describing Its Functionality In The Universe, Most Evidently Seen In The Bible, What We Saw Was The Throne It Self As It Exists!!!!!!]

In general I would say the beauty and peace found in sea shells is comparable, although less intense, due to the magnitude and size of the Arsh it’s aura of peace gently dominates.

The Rest Of The Dream

When we talk about this matter we have only ever spoken about this portion of the dream, but it recently came to my heart to relay the rest of it before we forget since we saw the dream a number of years ago and that it would be important for scholars in understanding this world and the unseen (ghayb). The prophet (saws) didn’t only visit us because we understood what the Arsh of Allah was, we came to understand what Ghayb, the unseen was and He also affirmed our understanding of it in the dream.

Ghayb the unseen is a word Allah mentions in the Quran often, it is mans spiritual side and the place where Angels and other spiritual creatures exist. Understanding Ghayb is so important to Islam that Allah opens the Quran by declaring clearly; THIS is a book specifically for those who believe in the unseen (ghayb/the subatomic); “This Book, there is no doubt in it, (it) is a guide to those who guard (against evil and) Those who believe in the unseen (the subatomic).”(2:2-3), the book of Allah is for those who believe in the subatomic!!!!!!

In the Quran Allah says many times, He guides man from the subatomic part of the universe (ghayb), for example in the verse of light (24:35), after Allah explains how His light exists in the Universe by outlining how the Atom is created, He says He guides man to Him through this process in the universe, while our bodies rely on what is occurring sub atomically to live, this is simple science.

Allah says to his Angels, who are created from light a subatomic particle, who live in the Unseen part of the universe and see what is veiled to us, “Did I not say unto you, `Verily, I alone know the hidden reality (Ghayb al Samawati wal Ard) of the Heavens and the Earth”, in other words how the heavens and the earth work and the laws they run by, the Angels could see the unseen but how can anyone see the Laws the universe run by, Allah was referring to a type of Ghayb the Angels could not see, which are the Laws of the Heavens (space) and the Earth, Allah rebutted them with physics.

From our study we came to understand ghayb the unseen is the subatomic part of our universe, from which all the laws of the universe are born, along with all the subatomic particles in it, Allah by simile calls all particles His light in the Quran.

The human body creates a strong electromagnetic field through the heart and brain which is connected to our nervous system, this is just the scientific name for light. When Allah wants to show someone something he places a light in their heart, the light of their heart can then see the unseen world, this is basic physics, just like our eyes need light to see the world our heart needs light from Allah to see the unseen world.

The prophet (saws) explained that man sees spiritually when Allah illuminates his iman (faith) with light. He (saws) explained this to his companion Haritha after he related a vision to Him (saws), He (saws) said to Haritha that “[you are] a slave whom Allah has illuminated the iman (light) in your heart” (Ibn Rajab al Handbali).

Imam Ali (ra) was once asked what is creation ? he (ra) said “It is like the dust in the air, it only becomes visible when the light of Allah strikes it”, in other words the universe is created from subatomic particles (dust) and the subatomic world is only seen when Allah places an electromagnetic field (light) in a persons heart so His inner sight can see.

To be succinct in describing the matter; It then became obvious that what a person sees in his dream is the unseen or subatomic world and its particles being molded into images just as they are when one thinks, either Allah creates that dream for him, the shaytan, or his own self, these are the three types of dreams the prophet (saws) said people have, in other words either Allah, the Jinn or our own mind arranges the subatomic particles to create the dream world…everything in the universe is created from subatomic particles even the Angles and our own thoughts.

We then realised that the only thing stooping us from seeing the unseen all the time is the barzakh (subatomic veil) Allah placed over peoples visions, otherwise we would see the Angels and Jinn all the time. “Behind them (those who died, in this life) lies the intervening barrier (Barzakh, stretching until) to the day of their resurrection (as long as the universe exists all subatomic fields will exist, Quantum Field Theory)” (23:99-100) When Allah took Adam (ra) out from heaven, He placed a barzakh (veil or field) over his vision so he couldn’t see the unseen world any longer, in other words man was created to naturally see the unseen subatomic world. On the day of judgment Allah will remove this Barzakh (veil) from people and He will say to mankind on that day “We have stripped from thee the Veil that covered thee and thy (inner) vision, this day is iron” (50:22), meaning the subtle world you saw in your dream or with your imagination will be seen clearly like solid metal.

After the Angel made the second opening in front of my chest in the dream so i could see the Arsh of Allah, the prophet (saws) explained that I was right about the unseen but as a person approaches wakefulness from his state of sleep that (limit between being awake and being asleep) is where the Barzakh is, between the two states, and it is stopping a person from seeing (the dream world) whilst awake. He (saws) then explained as a persons consciousness goes deeper spiritually, as long as the barazakh is there, the more they approach it consciously with their perception the closer they approach insanity, unless Allah removes it for them so they can see (like he did for the prophets (saws)).

The barzakh that Allah placed over man’s sight is responsible for insanity and delusions in the self, the field scrambles a persons mind as it touches it, if a persons nafs takes him there.

The prophet (saws) explained if a person purposefully approaches this barrier in his self trying to penetrate it spiritually, some people do this on purpose, and the barzakh hasn’t been removed by Allah they will go insane if they persist, He (saws) said this with a definite firmness so it is understood clearly, and this is the insane world we live in today where people are taken there on purpose.

Many people have been hurt spiritually by getting more spiritual than they are ready for, insha allah all of this isn’t to difficult to understand, it all has to do with the images we see in our mind and our imagination, which our desires follow from day to day, particles can be made to show the truth, a scientific television show, or they can be made to show fantasy, a Sci-Fi television show.

After explaining this in the dream the prophet (saws) instructed the Angel to remove the barzakh from my vision and sit me up, since i was in bed, He placed his arm behind my back and sat me up, then He removed it from me, the prophet (saws) then asked me to open my eyes to show me that from the dream world to the waking world is one continuous world, it is the same world and universe, it is not another world or universe as often is confused. Ghayb is the subatomic part of our universe it isn’t another reality or something more fantastic.

Before I opened my eyes He (saws) said “don’t be afraid you will still see (us, this won’t make you loose what you have seen already)”, I then opened my eyes and what I was seeing in my dream was still there while I was awake, I could still see the two prophets (saws) and the Angel next to me and the Angel holding my shaytan (at the end of my bed), more importantly I could also still the whole they made in the space in front of Me and through it the Arsh of Allah!!!!! All very clearly in the opening in front of my chest.

I looked around in this state and took everything in for some time, the prophet Muhammad (saws) then allowed me to breath and take it in before continuing.

The prophet (saws) then asked me to look at the Arsh again through the opening, and I did for a while until there was no more doubt left about anything, the prophet (saws) said you can place your hand inside the whole if you like, this was to reinforce that it was real, you can test it!!!!!

He (saws) wanted me to place my hand in the opening, but as I moved my hand into it towards the Arsh of Allah, just before we reached it haya (modesty) made me to shy to attempt touching the Throne, Allah istawa (established) His reality on the Arsh and the matter felt to great for us, later Allah in life Allah would affirm this was our distinction among His people and a test from Him relating to our excellence above others. When the prophet (saws) was certain I had seen clearly and took everything in, and there was no doubt left, He spoke to me and gave me some personal advice about being careful with my shaytan, after that the matter ended.

Why The Prophet Asked Me To Touch The Arsh: Holding onto Allah with nothing between you and him, no resource in life to protect you from the trials of this world except your prayers and the clothes on your back, means you are holding on to Allah’s Arsh, the light of His face. The prophet Adam (as) when Allah sent him to earth was in such a state, He had no sword or shield to protect Him (q) and their reliance never stood between him and Allah, it was Him Against the raw power and forces of the universe. For much of our life we have faced fitnah after fitnah with nothing to protect us from them except our prayers and Iman, as we have been informed that is why the prophet (saws) asked me to grab the Arsh, because our entire life we have been holding on to the light from the face of Allah and Allah will resurrect us in such a state on the day of judgment:

Ibn Masood (ra) said “there is no night or day with your lord, the light of the Arsh comes from the light of His Face”.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

We are not the only person to have such experiences, Abu Huraira said I heard the Prophet (saws) saying, “Whoever sees me in a dream will see me in his wakefulness, and Satan cannot imitate me in shape.” (Bukhari)

Journey To The Lord Of Power – My Miraj

Introduction

Astral Projection (or astral travel), is a term used in esotericism to describe an intentional out-of-body experience (OBE) that assumes the existence of a subtle body called an “astral body” through which consciousness can function separately from the physical body and travel throughout the astral plane.

The idea of astral travel is ancient and occurs in multiple cultures. The modern terminology of “astral projection” was coined and promoted by 19th-century Theosophists. It is sometimes reported in association with dreams and forms of meditation. Some individuals have reported perceptions similar to descriptions of astral projection that were induced through various hallucinogenic and hypnotic means (including self-hypnosis). There is no scientific evidence that there is a consciousness whose embodied functions are separate from normal neural activity or that one can consciously leave the body and make observations of the physical universe.

Astral projection works via quantum entanglement, the Angels do it for man, he is not able to do it for himself, that is why only a few they choose experience it and subatomically time and space are not a barrier for subatomic particles!!!!

Astral projection is in the bible, in fact it is very common, every time a prophet or saint says I traveled via the spirit that is what they meant, in the book of daniel the angel render daniel unconscious on the side of a river before taking him on his journey, the companion of Jesus (saws) john said the same, and we experienced the same when Allah wanted to teach us;

“But Elisha asked him, “Don’t you realize that I was there in spirit when Naaman stepped down from his chariot to meet you?”” 2 Kings 5:26

“It came about in the sixth year, on the fifth day of the sixth month, as I was sitting in my house with the elders of Judah sitting before me, that the hand of the Lord God fell on me there. Then I looked, and behold, a likeness as the appearance of a man; from His loins and downward there was the appearance of fire, and from His loins and upward the appearance of brightness, like the appearance of glowing metal. He stretched out the form of a hand and caught me by a lock of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the idol of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy, was located. And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there.” Ezekiel 8:1-4

“After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. 3 And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments, and golden crowns on their heads. 5 Out from the throne come flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God; 6 and before the throne there was something like a sea of glass, like crystal; and in the center and around the throne, four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind.” Revelation 4:1-6

“In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was taken, on that same day the hand of the Lord was upon me and He brought me there. 2 In the visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, and on it to the south there was a structure like a city. 3 So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway. 4 The man said to me, “Son of man, see with your eyes, hear with your ears, and give attention to all that I am going to show you; for you have been brought here in order to show it to you. Declare to the house of Israel all that you see.” Ezekiel 40:1-4

“4 On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank of the great river, the Tigris…7 I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; those who were with me did not see it, but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid themselves. 8 So I was left alone, gazing at this great vision; I had no strength left, my face turned deathly pale and I was helpless. 9 Then I heard him speaking, and as I listened to him, I fell into a deep sleep, my face to the ground. 10 A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. 11 He said, “Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling” (Daniel 10).

“16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Acts2).

The Souls Travel Through Space

The Souls Of The Dead Are Able To Leave This World And Travel Through Space, Allah Taught Me About This Matter Because Just As The Dead Of Our World Are Able To Be Taken To The Different Heavens, The Souls Of Others From There Are Able To Come Here, And The Qutb And Awliyah Have To Deal With Them.

The Size Of The First Heaven In Comparison To The Second, Is Like A Small Ring Inside A Vast Desert, This Comparison Goes On Up to Seven Heavens, And This Is What Space Looks Like, And The Arsh Dwarfs Everything, So Understand What Is Actually Meant When The Prophet Muhammad (saws) Said He Found The Prophets In Different Regions Of Space/Heaven;

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “The seven heavens are in relation to the Kursi like a ring thrown into a waterless desert. And the superiority of the ‘Arsh over the Kursi is like the superiority of the desert over that ring”;

Anas b. Malik reported on the authority of Malik b. Sa sa’, perhaps a person of his tribe, that the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) said:

I was near the House (i. e. Ka’bah) in a state between sleep and wakefulness when I heard someone say: He is the third among the two persons. Then he came to me and took me with him. Then a golden basin containing the water of Zamzam was brought to me and my heart was opened up to such and such (part). Qatada said: I asked him who was with me (i e. the narrator) and what he meant by such and such (part). He replied: (It means that it was opened) up to the lower part of his abdomen (Then the hadith continues): My heart was extracted and it was washed with the water of Zamzam and then it was restored in its original position, after which it was filled with faith and wisdom. I was then brought a white beast which is called al-Buraq, bigger than a donkey and smaller than a mule. Its stride was as long as the eye could reach. I was mounted on it, and then we went forth till we reached the lowest heaven. Gabriel asked for the (gate) to be opened, and it was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel. It was again said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad (ﷺ). It was said: Has he been sent for? He (Gabriel) said: Yes. He (the Prophet) said: Then (the gate) was opened for us (and it was said): Welcome unto him! His is a blessed arrival. Then we came to Adam (peace be upon him). And he (the narrator) narrated the whole account of the hadith. (The Holy Prophet) observed that he met Jesus in the second heaven, Yahya (peace be on both of them) in the third heaven, Yusuf in the third, Idris in the fourth, Harun in the fifth (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them). Then we travelled on till we reached the sixth heaven and came to Moses (peace be upon him) and I greeted him and he said: Welcome unto righteous brother and righteous prophet. And when I passed (by him) he wept, and a voice was heard saying: What makes thee weep? He said: My Lord, he is a young man whom Thou hast sent after me (as a prophet) and his followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers. Then we travelled on till we reached the seventh heaven and I came to Ibrahim. He (the narrator) narrat- ed in this hadith that the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) told that he saw four rivers which flowed from (the root of the lote-tree of the farthest limits): two manifest rivers and two hidden rivers. I said: ‘ Gabriel! what are these rivers? He replied: The two hidden rivers are the rivers of Paradise, and as regards the two manifest ones, they are the Nile and the Euphrates. Then the Bait-ul-Ma’mur was raised up to me. I said: O Gabriel! what is this? He replied: It is the Bait-ul-Ma’mur. Seventy thousand angels enter into it daily and, after they come out, they never return again. Two vessels were then brought to me. The first one contained wine and the second one contained milk, and both of them were placed before me. I chose milk. It was said: You did right. Allah will guide rightly through you your Ummah on the natural course. Then fifty prayers daily were made obligatory for me. And then he narrated the rest of the hadith to the end.

Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem, Assalmu Alaikum

The Prophet Of Allah (saws) Said To Me, I Advanced Reality From The Ancient World To The Scientific Age Over The Past 1400 Years, And You Did The Work That Took It From Our Time Into The Next Life, Past The Bridge Sirat, And That Is Where We Are Today.

Qutb

When The Prophet Of Allah (saws) Gave Me My Naqshbandi Silsila, It Was On A Mountain, I Was At The Base Of It And Its Shuyukh Were line Up The Hill All The Way To Abu Bakr At Its Top, Just Before The Gates Of Heaven, While The Entire Ummah Of Islam Where Further Down The Mountain All Watching Me (q).

The Awliyah Interpreted That To Mean I Would Become Qutb, That’s Why The Ummah Were All There Watching Me Become Accepted!

I Completed For Allah All The Work Of All The Realities Of The Day Of Judgement And The Bridge Over Hell Al Sirat; 20 Years Ago Allah Took Me On A Miraj To Where The Resurrection Will Take Place So I Can Bring Its Reality Into This World And Begin Its Work.

This is the full account of a dream/ruqya I had that occurred in the year 2000 in June at the age of 20 while I was living at university, where Allah took us to the place of the resurrection.

After it occurred I first spoke of it to my mother then father who told my uncle that lived near us, soon he visited with his second wife to hear of it. I didn’t know the meaning at the time but eventually at the request of my mother I asked two prominent scholars to interpret it, some years later both would become the mufti of my country one of which passed away in 2012 and the other is the current mufti.

I decided to tell the full account of the dream recently on the advice of the Mala’ikah/Angels who protected me from the shayateen that attacked me in an elaborate dream later on because of it, they attempted to harm us then make light of my work and spiritual experiences with the fact that ‘they have People and Jinn shooting themselves into space reaching the first and second heavens while I’m here on earth marveling at the small things Allah has shown me’.

الٓمٓ (١) غُلِبَتِ ٱلرُّومُ

To give context and significance to this boast, the prophet (saws) said there will come a time when words will be more severe on people than a blow with the sword.

They want to go to mars next and so soon their words will be spoken to mankind from a deeper spiritual place in the universe, and they will have a stronger impact on earth making go deeper into madness.

The prophet (saws) spoke about this issue in Ahadith, He (saws) explained that a persons prayer is lifted to Heaven by the Mala’ikah and it gains more impact in the universe because of it, some prayers reach the 1st Jannah, some the 2nd others all the way to the 7th depending on its Quality, while the words of a degenerate or oppressor remain on earth to ensure corruption doesn’t spread.

But today with the use of satellites the words of these people are automatically raised to the first Heaven and given spiritual weight, that is the podium they are speaking from to the people of earth and the world can not handle their realities.

After the Shayateen attacked me I prayed to Allah and asked the Mala’ikah to advise me on how I should respond, writing this account was their answer, may it crush the devils completely, Allah prepared the way for his servant long before they ever dreamed of reaching space in numbers.

I held of on posting the account for almost a year until I saw it was time, the scholars whose advice I went to seek, Allah had instead sent me to guide them and stop their hand to save the community in this country from them, such was the nature of what Allah bestowed upon us that night, so this account has been publicly shared for well over 20 years under Allah’s guidance.

My Miraj

My journey began with a question I asked Allah directly, how will people be resurrected? the magnitude of the answer I received I would not be able to accept its Maqam in myself for almost a decade. I was a person of immense Haya/shyness I can tell you I reached almost the end of the inner path and was granted a vision of the Arsh as well as the maqam of such an inner struggle, required to reach here, before I even considered Allah had singled me out for something.

Any person on the path asking how do you achieve more, I reached the end after many years of struggle and hardly saw wonders along the way beyond what I am describing in this account which I saw at the very beginning, it was all through Haya, adab and Ihsan that I approached Allah, many of my posts today are about Mala’ikah and my experiences with them that was the very last thing Allah opened for me in my life otherwise if you had ever asked me what I had experienced before this I would have little to say.

Once your nafs is taken care of the highest levels of tariqah that are the domain of the prophets (saws), when you accomplish them at the level of the prophets you will be given news of this and shown, they all relate to self-sacrifice to save others none more important than your own family.  Your heart will open to those selfless depths that are near the Arsh because of this effort and only because of it, then you will see how men of their caliber take responsibility and how Man is Allah’s khalifah taking care of what Allah wants.

Any person can go through sacrifice its not more than what you would imagine it, what Allah asks is simple to understand and what it is worth with Him isn’t any less, except for the quality of its intention, than a Wali doing the same but if you do this before your nafs is properly taken care of veils will still exist between your heart and the Arsh, blocking you from seeing but not receiving from those depths.

There is no shortcut its about shaping the heart and having the strength to look at issues and take responsibility, two qualities of the prophet (saws) more than any other highlighted his (saws) inner perfection and strength to look at any issue from any perspective and deal with it. He (saws) cast no shadow and Allah forgave him (saws) his future and past sins, earning these qualities from Allah meant you could not look at the prophet (saws) from any perspective or angle and find fault in Him (saws), so this allowed him (saws) to look at every issue in life from any perspective and not have weakness in His (saws) heart regarding what He (saws) was being exposed to.

Achieving this or something of it at the level of the awliyah is what the scholars meant by becoming an Insan Kamil, a complete human being, or a perfected human being, you have purified your heart from every perspective possible and nothing is blocking your inner perception from any angle and depth from seeing the truth (Haq), only then is your perception of things complete.

Hadith 1: Sayyidina Zakwaan , a close Companion of the Prophet said, the following Hadith: “The shadow of the Prophet could not be seen in the brightness of the sun, nor in moonlight”.(Hakeem Tirmidhi in his book Nawaadirul-Usool )

Hadith 2: Uthman ibn Affan , the son-in-law of the Prophet said to the Prophet : “Allah Almighty does not let your shadow fall on the ground, so that no foot of man can fall on it”.(Imam Nasafi in his Tafseer Madaarik)

Hadith 3: Ibn Saba (said): “This is also a unique feature of the Prophet that his shadow did not touch the ground, because he was light (nur), and when he used to walk in the sunshine his shadow could not be seen.”(Imam Jalaludeen Suyuti in his Khasaa’is al-Kubra )

The prophets perfected these qualities to such an extent they deserved for it to be seen in the world in a special way, having no shadow means you are light from every perspective, being forgiven your past and future sins means you faultless from every perspective at every moment in time. Allah said He (saws) was forgiven not blameless, because while the prophet (saws) never committed a sin every person makes mistakes in Judgement and Allah absolved Him (saws) of even these so nothing hinders Him (saws) spiritually.

The prophet (saws) was so elevated above the rest of mankind Allah decreed that His (saws) shadow didn’t deserve to be stepped upon, for others you will see these things on them in the Akhira just as it was seen on the prophets in life. You can not surpass the prophets in what they achieved they are at the limit of every kind of Ihsan a human can reach, what you will hear from the Mala’ikah is that you have reached the place a certain prophet reached in something you are doing and be shown it.

There is nothing beyond what they achieved which is why they are prophets of Allah representing who He is, we are just following the spiritual influence of their steps in the universe. This has been the reality of man since Allah created the souls of mankind and appointed them prophets, a soul with responsibility placed on it since before mankind was created, the only honour for man today is to achieve the same as them.

Allah, after the events of this night first sent me to two prominent scholars in my community to guide them, then lastly to my own family and that is where I completed my path.

Previously I read how Ibrahim (as) asked about the resurrection and Allah answered Him by telling him to kill a number of birds and to place their parts on different mountains, after which Allah resurrected them in front of him, but I wanted to know the answer in precise detail, I asked the question once and left the matter deciding to show sabr no matter how long it took.

Sometime later maybe six months to a year Allah answered me;

When I woke up in the dream I was comfortably traveling through space with the Mala’ikah, I didn’t see them but I heard their conversation next to me and could feel they were carrying me through space. We traveled for a time then some of them wanted to go at speed while others said in response, “he can’t handle it”, after some back and forth they decided to go at speed with me and space began to rush past me incredibly fast, I began to feel the pressure of the journey on my face and it was immense, but at the same time I began to feel that I wasn’t just traveling through space I had the distinct feeling I was traveling through space and time, time was flowing past me just as space was, and I began to say this out loud in amazement “I am traveling through space and time”, “I am traveling through space and time”, then in astonishment I asked “How is this right”, “How is this possible”, why is time-related to space.

I could literally feel time itself passing me by just as I could fell I was covering a lot of distance and I think it was the Mala’ikah who deliberately allowed me to have a sense of this so I could understand the nature of the Journey, I was being taught something by them.

Anyone who understands physics today will know the answer, it was a relatively obscure theory until satellites proved it in 2011 which significantly, is around the same time I began writing, so this lesson by the Mala’ikah marked the beginning of my Miraj and the beginning of my spiritual openings later in life. Back in the year 2000 when the internet was non-existent and this wasn’t a known subject readily taught in physics classes, science did not widely publicize space and time are intertwined together, yet this was what I was feeling and what the Mala’ikah were teaching me.

I wouldn’t have the answer to it for another 10 or so years when I began studying and writing from what Allah was teaching me, if you have read my work on space and subatomic space you will see the answer clearly, but Allah, who knows the future wanted to give me these experiences and Maqam long before it became relevant in my life so I would be prepared for when the world changed for the worst in 2001 and these people came out into the open with their intentions. Because my spiritual Journey began before 2001 it superseded what anyone else had plans for the world, this is a spiritual reality Allah often mentions in the Quran but very few understand it because they don’t know the significance of its verses.

The most famous is when Allah declared in the Quran in surah al Rum “Alif Lam Mim, The Romans are defeated” long before the Muslims had any hope of even imagining such a thing from scattered tribes that are mostly unlettered, most pagans who heard it laughed yet both the Roman and Persian Empire’s collapsed at the same time as Muslim’s fought them both on different fronts.

This is because the Muslims had defeated/surpassed them spiritually and it means it would only be a matter of time before they would defeat/surpass them in life, Allah was letting the prophet (saws) know how much they achieved and marking the point when it occurred so He revealed the verse to let them know.

The Mala’ikah debating the Journey also knew my future that night, they took me to the edge of what my heart could handle experiencing and that raw feeling from the journey in my heart, which was very tough, still remains with me to this day. Years later the prophet (saws) would teach me about how people see the spiritual world, Ghayb, your eye sight is supplemented by the sight of your heart, so in effect you are seeing the world through your heart and so traveling at speeds the Mala’ikah travel at meant my heart was processing that world at a speed most could not handle, which left a raw feeling there.

There was a purpose to everything I was given that night that would help me later in life, this first part of the journey prepared my heart which now had the experience of processing the universe at such speeds like the Mala’ikah, and it prepared me for a challenge I would face in the near future, (I described it in my post “A Spiritual Challenge”), later in life Allah would open the world of the Mala’ikah to me and this experience along with the place I was being taken to help me with it.

Just before we arrived at our destination the Mala’ikah made me unconscious, preparing me for what Allah wanted us to experience next. When I woke up on a pedestal frozen like a statue, as the feeling came back into my body I saw that Allah was showing me the process of resurrection in myself, literally my body was being resurrected and as the process finished I regained more movement, it is exactly as the prophet (saws) described in ahadith the body will grow like a plant from a seed, from the inside out, and flesh itself out gradually until the process is complete, then the soul will be placed inside the body and given life.

This was the second major experience Allah gave me first hand of and it related to my work some 10 years later regarding how humans have spiritual experiences, how revelation is possible, what is spirituality and the spiritual world, all of which is answered by understanding science, human physiology and the universe around us, Allah helped us put that picture together from everything that occurred on this night. Allah also gave us answers about the Human soul, what it is, what is it made of and how does it exist and give the body life, which we have written about.

Once this experience was complete and we regained full freedom of our body, we stepped down from the pedestal and found our self in a desolate flat landscape, the sky was black and molten brass like Allah described in the Quran when the universe would end, the land looked like a desolate land from Afghanistan with small rocks and pebbles all over the place, there was nothing as far as the eye could see, Allah had taken us to the place of the resurrection, the place where His judgment would take place over creation.

Allah took us to the Maqam of that day and He would raise us to the Maqam of the Mala’ikah that accompanied us, the Maqam of his judgment and knowledge on the world because of what was happening to us in life, He now took charge of us personally “Whosoever shows enmity to a wali (friend) of Mine, then I have declared war against him”. The significance/Maqam of this place is that it is the location of Allah’s judgment upon the universe and everything in it and this fitnah affecting the world is a global one it isn’t just one community attacking you it is a combined effort from Shayateen around the world helping each other because of where they are drawing their power from.

I have spoken about the Malai’kah in the past but to be brief, the Mala’ikah are arranged in the universe in ranks, these ranks are not in terms of strongest to weakest, they are in terms of the stages of life, from the creation of life to what people experience in it, then unto death where you will find Mala’ikat al Mawt and what happens after.

Each Angel is given knowledge of the universe based on that stage so they can carry out their task, Malaikat al Mawt of all the Angels on earth have the most complete picture of life because they are placed at the time of death and witness everything up to that point in time about people, they are judgment up to the time of death. Besides the highest Angels of Allah like Jibril and Mika’il in general three kinds of Mala’ikah have more knowledge and are higher than them.

The Mala’ikah of Jahanam who have knowledge of events passed the day of Judgement and All its events until the people of Hell enter Hell and they take responsibility over them, they must know all of this in advance as well as everyone’s place and why they are there.

The Mala’ikah of Jannah who likewise must know every person who will enter it and their lives in there, and Mala’ikat al Arsh who carry the Arsh and must know everything every Mala’ikah under them knows, there are more Mala’ikah in the universe but these are the ones most people know.

This is something I was taught by them, the Mala’ikah of this world have spoken to me about this and showed it to me, understanding it explains why Allah took me to the place of his judgment upon People and Jinn. Allah would give my heart the Maqam of the Mala’ikah accompanying me and perspective on life, like one of the ranks of the Mala’ikah. Because this is the place He elevated us and began our openings, our first step on the path was from here to what is higher.
Many years later after I would become more familiar with the world of the Mala’ikah Allah would send me the same two Mala’ikah that accompanied me this night, I was then told to look at them, when I did I was asked, what do you see, I said “they look like Mala’ikat al Kursi except they are dressed with more” (qualities), I was then told they are Mala’ikat al Kursi (Mala’ikah responsible for the Kursi) but from Jannah so Allah dressed them with more qualities, (the Kursi exist everywhere in the universe not just Jannah) it was then said, that is what Allah gave you that night, what he dressed me with and raised me to.
Ibn Abbas said about the Kursi, “Kusiyuhu Ilmuhu”, “His Kursi is His knwoledge” (Bukhari).
The place of the resurrection and Allah’s judgment in the universe, its Maqam, is a place under the Highest Mala’ikah, the Mala’ikah of Jahanam, Jannah, al Kursi and Mala’ikat al Arsh only they have a more complete/elevated picture of life in the universe because they are in charge of what comes after, along with some other types of Mala’ikah that most have never heard of.

The prophet Daniel (as) was shown what would occur in our time He (as) said “I kept on watching until the Ancient of Days (Allah) was seated (on His throne)” ready to judge this world, Allah’s judgment upon the entire world is almost here, Allah’s highest mala’ikah are already on earth preparing the way for this. “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence (Judgement) earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them”(Rev 20:7). The world as we know it and the spirituality we have manufactured will dissolved away like salt in water when Allah brings His Arsh close to earth to judge it.

When Allah wants to raise someone He completes their knowledge/picture of the universe for them, this is why you saw many of the scholars of Islam talk about the nature of the universe in their works after Allah accepted them, this was that for me. Allah showed me the significance of the Maqam He raised me to in 2004 when He had me witness His judgment upon the people of the 2004 Tsunami and I witnessed Mala’ikat al Mawt taking the lives of its victims, prior to that Allah placed a conversation in my heart that occurred over a period of two years about their fate in which I came to same conclusion as Him so I would understand His reason.

After arriving at the place the Mala’ikah took me to and stepped down from the pedestal I was resurrected upon I took a few steps and at a distance I saw man standing there, so I walked towards him, as I came close I could feel this was one of Allah’s prophets (as), when I got close enough to see his face I saw it was the prophet Muhammad (saws), He looked at me with a face shining like the full moon and smiling so much I could see his white teeth, he was extremely happy to see me.

I walked and stood in front of Him while he was smiling at me, He (saws) had a bowl filled with milk in his hand, He (saws) gave it to me and said drink, I held it and took a sip from it and out of shyness (Haya/Modesty) gave it back to Him (saws) but this wasn’t enough, so He (saws) gave the bowl back to me and said “Drink and you will never be thirsty again”.

What they deprived me of knowledge in life growing up Allah was rectifying for me at the hands of the prophet Muhammad (saws) and by the end I would have a more complete picture of life and this world than most people on earth who at most only go as far as the world of Jinn spiritually.

I took the bowl from Him (saws) and drank three times from it, each time I drank I took as much as I could handle until I was full, after I finished drinking my vision was lifted from my body to a place above my head and just behind me, I could see the milk going down my throat reaching my heart covering it then in an explosion it spread out and filled my entire chest and arms.

أَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَ

The Mala’ikah were explaining to me what this drink was doing and what the prophet Muhammad (saws) meant, Allah was giving me knowledge and understanding just as He gave it to the prophet Muhammad (saws) and the companions (as).

Ibn ‘Umar Narrated: Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) said, “While I was sleeping, I saw that a cup full of milk was brought to me and I drank my fill till I noticed (the milk) its wetness coming out of my nails. Then I gave the remaining milk to ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattab” The companions of the Prophet (saws) asked, “What have you interpreted (about this dream)? “O Allah’s Apostle (saws) !” he replied, “knowledge.” (Bukhari Volume 1, Book 3, Number 82)

“Kusiyuhu Ilmuhu” the milk represented Allah’s knowledge and so did the Kursi, it means the prophet Muhammad (saws) and Umar (ra) were going to be supported now by the Mala’ikah responsible for the Kursi in life so they would gain all the knowledge Allah wanted to teach them.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful; “Have We not expanded thee thy breast? (given you depth of understanding and knowledge)― (1) And removed from thee thy burden (2) The which did gall thy back?― (3) And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)? (4) So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief: (5) Verily with every difficulty there is relief. (6) Therefore, when thou art free, still labor hard (7) And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention. (8)”

After my sight returned to me and I stood in front of the prophet (saws) for some time, I don’t remember why but I think this was the Mala’ikah, I walked past the prophet (saws) and saw a hill at the top of which was very large gates, this was Jannah, as I approached the Hill I saw a silsila (chain) of saintly men beginning at the base of the Hill reaching all the way to the top where the gates of Jannah where.

I was then asked to stand in this silsila of saintly men and Allah made me the next link in that chain, Allah now gave me my own silsila to the prophet (saws) and made me a shaykh of tasawwuf, someone who could correct peoples hearts.

I then looked at every man in that silsila starting with those in front of me, one at a time as I looked at each one they turned around and greeted me, when I started reaching the middle some did not turn around and greet me and this was a choice Allah gave them, I understood why but the Mala’ikah with me did not know I understood so they began to explain, the choice was if they wanted to be distracted by anything in this world or keep their focus on Allah entirely.

It wasn’t a right or wrong answer but a question of the responsibility they wanted to take up, purely spiritual or earthly either was for the sake of Allah, what they chose was something pertaining to their state because at the head of this silsila (chain of saintly men) was Abu Bakr (as) and reaching up to those near Him, some turned around and greeted me while those earlier than them chose not to greet me.

These men were;

  1. Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as)
  2. Salman al-Farisi (as)
  3. Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr (as)
  4. Jafar as-Sadiq (as)
  5. Tayfur Abu Yazid al-Bistami (as)

As I looked at each saintly man I also saw their state, sensed their heart, Ihsan or perfection, the closer we got to the top the more perfect in their focus on Allah, I reached the third last person who didn’t turn around, I could see his heart struggled with the choice, the second last person likewise but not to the same extent, He was more perfected in His character and finally we reached Abu Bakr (as), the question reached His heart and the matter wasn’t anything more than three small tremors and He did no waver from focusing on Allah to look at me but stayed entirely focused facing the gate of Jannah, such was the beauty of His perfection which I remember to this day and that is where I set my heart to reach, I have never seen a man such as Him even if you exaggerate your imagination will still fall short in what to say and you will do nothing more than boast, the qualities Allah dressed them with are very much real.

Allah was teaching me through them, I was taking from the men in this chain, I had never seen such men before in my life or taken from anyone like them, they don’t exist today, along with this I witnessed the choices they made and the states they were in when they were making them. I was now given perception of a standard of Ihsan not seen in the world today and knew what it looked like, along with the prophet (saws) for me this was my tassawur.

Because Abu Bakr (as) was at the head of the silsila I was placed in and granted, it eventually became clear to us that Allah placed us in the Naqshbandi tariqah and made us one of its shaykhs, their silsila is the only one that goes through Sayidinah Abu Bakr (as) while every other silsila on earth goes through Imam Ali (as). Although I wasn’t given the names of every man in the chain at the time, what lay ahead for me that night would prove more pressing.

People who join a tariqah train for years to get rid of their nafs so they can reach a high degree of spirituality, that is a another way of saying they spend a long time correcting the psychological mistakes of their youth because it is their ego that is blinding them. There is a reason why Allah saw I was ready for this at the age of 20, growing up although I wasn’t free from error I never made those mistakes and consequently never developed a nafs, I chose to act on every single piece of wisdom I heard at a great personnel cost to my self (Nafs) and most of my time was spent in Jihad.

When later in life I asked Rasul Allah (saws) about the tariqah Allah had given me, He (saws) said “Acting on wisdom increases your wisdom, and that is the shortest path.”

Allah had given me a tariqah characterized by wisdom and the prophet (saws) outlined its method for me.

I stood there for some time but eventually the Mala’ikah continued my journey, the silsila was my spiritual connection up to Jannah in the dream, but eventually I would have to take my own path up to those gates in life where Abu Bakr (as) stood, that path in life they would soon outline for me in the dream and I would see what I had to endure in life because of the fitnah covering the world today.

I walked away to the right of the Silsila and as I walked I was asked to look by the Mala’ikah, I looked to my right and down back to the desolate field where the resurrection will take place, I saw the entire Ummah of Muhammad (as) standing there in ranks as far back as the eye could see covering the entire field, they looked at me as if they watched Allah raise me to that place I had just come from.

The prophet (saws) in ahadith said on the day of Judgement the Ummah will be standing in ranks, each line of people will have 82 persons in it, people will be standing according to how well they did in life, shoulder to shoulder like in Jumaah prayer, the best are at the front and the worst at the back, this is what I saw on that night.

As I was looking at the Ummah I saw they were happy to see me, especially those at the front who I could see more clearly, they were all smiling at me and while I was looking at them happy to see the two women standing near the front, Allah shined a light on their faces that lit them up like the full moon and they became extremely happy with me at this.

I didn’t understand why in the dream because this wasn’t on my mind, but I understood later these were the two women Allah had chosen to marry me to in the next life. Like everything in the dream this served a purpose regarding my future, I was being shown this because marriage later in life would become something those at war with religion would give me immense trouble with creating many obstacles, especially living in the land of the Kufar. From their own boasts since I was young they made an effort to keep me away from any women that chose religion even in my family and any women that chose me and religion they did the same to her, some they would go so far as to send them overseas so I wouldn’t see them or think of them and so they would forget me.

Now Allah was showing me my two spouses and their place in the Ummah of Muhammad (as), Allah placed all of His Rahma with women in this life, our mothers, sisters and wives, there will come a day when Allah will make these people stand in front of me and I will block all Rahma from reaching them on that day.

Salman Al-Farisi reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has one hundred portions of mercy. From one portion the creation has been given mercy between themselves, and ninety-nine portions are reserved for the Day of Resurrection.” (Muslim)

We’ve lost people close to our heart that we are meant to be with, and struggled for years to help them understand what Allah has shown us regarding them, what He wants for them so they can be saved from the fitnah gripping the world…Allah says act so I can act with you, change only comes after you take action, but fear grips the hearts of women more easily than it does men.

May Allah give the person I lost strength He only wants what’s best for her and knows what they have done with their sihr completely, Allah has explained this to us over the years, otherwise we would not be here helping her to this day.

Allah is not blind to what we don’t see affecting us in life from behind our backs and He would not ask us on multiple occasions if the Haq of matters wasn’t with her.

We then continued along the path until eventually we began to feel lost within ourselves, I don’t know why but I think if the heart becomes isolated in life a person needs the Ummah to show him the path, isolation was something we would eventually experience after this dream and here Allah was telling us about it.

Eventually, we saw in the dream another path leading up to Jannah similar to the one the silsila of saintly men stood on, it was the same hill but further down the path I followed at its base. There were people, although sparse, walking up that path towards the gate, some would turn around and back walk in the other direction others continued, but as I got close I saw a youth in the prime of his life in the likeness of the prophet (as) Dawwud (as) in his manner (something our heartfelt about him) guiding people towards Jannah and helping those who came back down. He stood there directing people up the path towards the gate but did not take the path himself.

Years later I asked the Mala’ikah to explain this to me and they answered me in a dream, the youth could not handle the spiritual openings of that Journey, not many could, but he knew the path to teach to people and He was helping the Ummah. This path wasn’t simply people walking to Jannah it was the path of the Awliyah of sainthood and these were the people in life taking that spiritual Journey.

We finally reached the path feeling lost disoriented not certain of the direction, in life we have never been lost in our religion its strength got us through the fitnah we experienced but we did become lost regarding the direction we should take in life. As we approached the youth he saw us and placed his hand behind my back firmly and pointing with his other hand towards Jannah said “this is the path to Jannah”, a statement I felt in my heart as he spoke it.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “When Allah created Paradise, He said to Jibreel: ‘Go and look at it.’ Jibreel went and looked at it, then came and said: ‘O my Lord! By Thy might, no one who hears of it will fail to enter it.’

Allah then surrounded it with disagreeable things (Hardships), and said: ‘Go and look at it, Jibreel.’ He went and looked at it, then came and said: ‘O my Lord! By Thy might, I am afraid that no one will enter it.

When Allah created Hell, He said: ‘Go and look at it, Jibreel.’ Jibreel went and looked at it, then came and said: ‘O my Lord! By Thy might, no one who hears of it will enter it.‘

Allah then surrounded it with desirable things (ease) and said: ‘Go and look at it, Jibreel.’ Jibreel went, looked at it, then came and said: ‘O my Lord! By Thy might and power, I am afraid that no one will remain who does not enter it.’ [Abu Dawud]

We walked up the path Allah had taken us to, at first the path was peaceful and easy, as we reached about halfway up the hill, two black figures came and stood on either side of us then began to forcibly drag us up the hill, I put my foot down until I was dragging dirt with me trying to stop them but they kept dragging us towards the gate making everything extremely hard until we could not bear it, such was the struggle, eventually I began to call out to Allah for help and did so until we reached the top, our heart entirely exhausted from the struggle with these black figures, I think they were Mala’ikah representing the shayateen in our lives and this was done to show me the pain and hardship I would face as I took this path in life.

Mala’ikah representing Shayateen dragging me to Jannah means Allah would raise me spiritually on the back of the fitnah they caused for me in life and this is exactly what happened, they kept causing trouble for me until Allah opened the Arsh and the world of the Mala’ikah for me on the back of their efforts. In fact Allah promised me their would not be a fitnah that I would face in life except I would find a solution to it and overcome it. We won’t identify who these shayateen are here or why they would make my path to Jannah hell, but we feel most of that hardship in life is behind us.

We reached the top of the path barely hanging on by the tips of our fingers, such was the hardship, which I care not to go into detail over. Eventually, we reached the top at the end of which was the gate of Jannah and I could see it’s intense noor (light) shining out the gate towards me, I kept walking until I reached it and I as I walked into that light that is when my journey ended and I slowly began to wake up.

Many years later Allah sent me the same two Mala’ikah that accompanied me that night, the two that at the end of the Miraj took on the form of the dark figures to show me what I would experience in life, I was then told to look at them, when I did I was asked, what do you see, I said they look like Mala’ikat al Kursi except they are dressed with more (qualities), I was then told they are Mala’ikat al Kursi but from Jannah so Allah dressed them with more qualities, (the Kursi exist everywhere in the universe not just Jannah) it was then said, that is what Allah gave you that night (what he dressed me with and raised me to).

This Miraj represented something very significant not just in my life but with Allah, Allah says in the Quran;

“In time We shall make them fully understand Our messages [through what they perceive] in the utmost horizons [of the universe] and within themselves [the microscopic and subatomic], so that it will become clear unto them that this [revelation] is indeed the truth.” [Qur’an 41:53]

Allah made this promise to the Kufar 1400 years ago, my work and the knowledge and Maarifah (direct experience) with the subjects Allah has given me is a fulfilment of that promise to them, this has been made very clear to me by Allah, so again;

The Muhammadan Reality Pt.5

How do creatures bound by time know their Creator who isn’t, how do we put together a picture that spans the length of time, the answer is part of why Al Haqiah Al Muhamadiya exists?

Time is needed for wisdom to exists, which is the quality that sets man apart from all of Allah’s creatures his heart is designed for this purpose, “Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth, letting their hearts gain wisdom” (22:46). Wisdom can’t exist unless the complete picture of events is revealed, and the purpose of travel in the verse is to witness other people’s stories and learn the wisdom behind what happens to them. Man’s perception is only able to encapsulate the meaning of events and arrive at the deeper reality behind the picture, to see the wisdom in its nature, as time passes.

Therefore, Allah said in a hadith Qudsi said “I am Time”, you will see My hand in the universe as you gain wisdom. The word in the hadith for time is Dhuhur, meaning I am the span of Time, when practice wisdom it leads to more wisdom, so the complete picture of Allah the highest form of wisdom is known by knowing all of time from the moment Allah said Kun (Be) and the universe came into existence until Qiyama, the universe ends.

Our knowledge of the universe is filling in the gaps of that picture which is why Allah said in the Quran man will see the truth when He studies the universe and himself (41:53).

What Allah is saying in the hadith Qudsi is that the entire picture of who He is, His qualities, will be revealed to His creatures over the complete span of time and this learning process will not finish until the universe ends, a lesson Allah taught the Angels when He created Adam and revealed to them that the universe has Hidden realties it runs by (laws, quantum mechanics) that they had not learned yet.

Man comes into this life to experience a snap shot of this reality, a snap shot of Allah’s qualities at some point along the universes time line:

“He knoweth that which is in front of them (death) and that which is behind them (this life they left)

[He has complete knowledge of their lives, He is the Span of Time while man’s existence is limited to his own lifespan], while they encompass nothing of His knowledge (that complete picture) save what He will” (2:255) which is given to them through revelation and inspiration by those who witnessed it and can reveal it in the form of wisdom, the Angels.

There are two kinds of beings this kind of knowledge is intended for, the Angels who are immortal and will witness all of it, and the prophets, saintly men and those Allah inspires besides them without them knowing, will be given this knowledge in condensed form (summation) as revelation and inspiration in their hearts, by simile a feeling can tell you what a thousand words can’t and many of our feelings are guidance from Allah through His Mala’ika.

The 99 qualities of Allah cannot be known properly except over the span of time, but because of what the prophet (saws) achieved Allah revealed to Him (saws) all His qualities which no prophet (saws) before Him had received in their entirety. For example His quality of the being al Latif, the subtly aware, its role in the universe could not be known properly until the modern age when man began to study how the universe was constructed, understanding subatomic space is being subtly aware of what is happening around you at the most finite levels.

These new perceptions on life we are given is the result of the maqaam (station/rank) of the Muhammadan Reality and because of it Allah wrote the prophets (saws) name on the Arsh as proof since it is the only other thing that knows Allah properly (through the span of time).

Besides the things we have quoted and written in this work already, what else have the scholars said, what else did the prophet Muhammad (saws) himself say?

“The Messenger of Allah (saws) Himself said: ‘None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his child, his father and all the people.'” (Ibn Maaja)

Abdullaah ibn Hishaam said: “We were with the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he was holding the hand of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab. ‘Umar said to him: ‘O Messenger of Allah, you are dearer to me than everything except my own self.’ The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘No, by the One in Whose hand is my soul, until I am dearer to you than your own self.’ ‘Umar said to him, ‘Now, by Allah, you are dearer to me than my own self.’ The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘Now), O ‘Umar.’” (Bukhari).

This is one of the meanings behind Allah writing the prophets (saws) name on the Arsh, He (saws) is tied to belief and as a result reality itself. This is because love is a form of sight and no person will see the way of the true path except through the prophet (saws). This isn’t about your self interest or the prophets (saws) its about the reality Allah created in the universe and how to arrive at a destination. When your nafs is gone you see others more than you see your own self, and when you begin to see the prophet (saws) more than you see your self you have learnt how to see, this work explains why Allah made this the reality of the universe and why the prophet (saws) was given this.

If a person or prophet is to be granted access to unique knowledge from the past and future, at his point in time through revelation and inspiration, and the nature of that knowledge is only known through the complete span of time because it is revealed over that time, such as all the qualities of Allah, then nothing from his past or from his future can be in the way, He needs to be faultless and sinless through all time so that nothing hinders the spirituality of this coming to Him from any perspective or direction, because to understand a picture that is seen by grasping the span of time in your perception you need to be deserving of every perspective and direction on life.

All the prophets achieved this to varying degrees which is why they where made Prophets before they came into life and received portions of its revelation like the partial list of Allah’s qualities, but the prophet Muhammad (saws) was the only one to entirely fulfill its requirements and receive every name of Allah.

“Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope. For it (is only) that which it hath earned, and against it (only) that which it hath deserved” (2:286) this verse is why the prophet Muhammad (saws) is deserving of every respect, what He (saws) received is proof of the work He (saws) did and what He (saws) earned as a result.

Al-Mughira (ra) Narrated: The Prophet used to offer night prayers till his feet became swollen. Somebody said, to him,” “Allah has forgiven you, your faults of the past and those to follow (the future, so why do this).” On that, he said, “Shouldn’t I be a thankful slave (of Allah)?” (Bukhari)

Imam Ibn Arabi and His main student Imam al Qaysari said on this subject (the translator’s commentary is also included):

“Ibn ‘Arabi begins chapter 27 of the Fuṣuṣ by saying that the Prophet possesses the wisdom of singularity (fardiya, uniqueness) since he is the most perfect being in existence. It is through the Prophet that the matter of creation began and ended.”

The Imam Said: His is the wisdom of singularity because he is the most perfect existent of this human species, which is why the matter begins and ends with him, for he was a Prophet while Adam was between clay and water (the souls of prophets are then given prophet hood after this). Then, in his elemental form, he became the Seal of Prophets (after Allah asked the souls of every prophet to take the oath of prophet hood by the light of Muhammad).

Imam Qaysari Imam Ibn Arabi’s main student comments on his words by breaking down the components of the universe; “It is the wisdom of singularity because of his singularity (uniqueness) in the station of Divine All-Comprehensiveness (al-jam‘iyya al-ilāhiyya), above which is nothing except the level of the Essence (to be free from matter, sub atomic or otherwise) of Exclusive Oneness (al-dhāt al- aḥadiyya, Allah is exalted above everything in the universe). This is because it [the station of Divine All-Comprehensiveness] is the locus (center) of the Name Allah, which is the greatest, All-Comprehensive Name (al-ism al-jāmi. The name that combines all of Allah’s qualities) amongst all the Names and qualities.”

(The prophet (saws) was the closest in reaching the oneness, singularity, of Allah that is represented in the Name Allah, which in its meaning encompasses all of Allah’s other names. Just like your name when calling you also embodies who you are, the qualities people remember about you when they see you. Allah gave mankind a shortcut to connect spiritually with all His qualities by revealing to us His name, Allah, which in its meaning is the totality of all His qualities, it is His personal name that sums up everything He is. “Say: Call upon Allah or call upon, the Beneficent One (Al Rahman); whichever you call upon, His are all the attributes of perfection” (The qualities you should acquire) (17:110)).

Imam Qaysari continues; “Thus, the Prophet possesses the wisdom of singularity because he is the being who best embodies the Name (qualities of) Allah—which is at once the All-Comprehensive Name and the solitary or singular Name (al-ism al-mufrad)—but also because, in the descent of Being (from the spiritual to the physical aspects of a being), he (saws) stands alone at the top of the cosmic hierarchy of Allah’s Self- Disclosures (things Allah revealed to His creatures about Himself).”

“In order to illustrate this point further, Qaysari cites a well-known ḥadith in which the Prophet is reported to have said, “The first thing Allah created was my light” (The first thing Allah created was an aspect of the prophets (saws) character, His light, and the light shinning from any person’s face tells you his nature, qualities and who He is. Thus from the prophets (saws) light Allah created every thing the universe relies upon to exist, “every excellent thing”). (end quote)

The light of prophet hood came into existence from Allah directly, from His “essence,” thus giving the prophet Muhammad (saws) the ability to know everything that was created from it, the ability to understand the complete span of time. All things have their reasons (causes/asbab) for being the way they are and this is the reason why the prophet Muhammad (saws) could Know all of Allah’s qualities properly above other prophets, because we all benefited from His (saws) reality, this is why mankind excelled above other creatures the reality of Mankind created the universe and every other reality exists within ours, therefor we can know them all but they can’t know all we know, we can understand the life of every animal but they can’t understand ours, this Haq extends to every intelligent creature Allah created, spiritual and physical.

It is our breadth of understanding that gives us uniqueness, from which we draw the most complete picture of life in our selves, this is where wisdom comes from and vision of Allah, it is not our depth and who has the most knowledge about any one subject, which Allah’s spiritual creatures surpass us in.

Allah explains in the Quran this unique ability of mankind; That his heart can know things vast in nature in a single moment and sum them up with a feeling or moment of inspiration so his consciousness can understand what he is experiencing and then put it into words.

This is why Allah began a surah about the balance He created in the universe by first saying He created man and taught Him speech, the purpose of his speech is to describe the universe from his reality, a reality created to understand everything.

“The Merciful, who taught the Quran, He created man, and He taught him speech. The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning (obeying the forces of the universe); the stars and the trees bend in prostration (Their ecosystems obey His laws). He raised the heavens and set up its balance, so that you should not transgress the measure (all of these ecosystems are connected right down to mans psychology and spirituality). Always measure with justice (in society) and do not give short measure (to people)”. (55:1-8)

Allah created mankind, therefore this next verse is not an accusation against them but a declaration about what Allah created;

“Man is made of haste (ultimately a reference to his heart which quickly sums up information about many things with a single feeling that represents them). I shall show you My portents (Hand in the universe), but ask Me not to hasten (let them come to you naturally so you can know their asbab/causes in the universe).” (21:37)

Imam Ali (ra) said about this, “the vision of the eye is limited but the vision of the heart transcends all barriers of space and time,” the heart can encompass the universe and many large things in it with its vision, regarding all this Allah said in a hadith Qudsi “Neither My Earth nor My Heavens can contain Me, but the heart of a Believing Servant, contains Me.” This is the breadth of man’s capacity, what His heart can encompass and understand surpasses every other creature.

Man’s is unique because of His heart which is completely focused on his soul, that is always reading the sub atomic spiritual world taking input from what is happening around us. Because of this the heart is the center (loci) of manifestation of Allah’s qualities, this is its vision that Imam Ali mentioned. Our prophet (saws) was given the complete picture of Allah and it is Allah’s reality that manifests itself in all the prophets in a complete way, rather than as individual or multiple qualities seen in lessor humans who can’t encompass every kind of issue and creation in the universe over the span of time as well as them.

“The Muhammadan Reality therefore marks the beginning of existence and is brought to its completion and its totality in the Prophet. It is for this reason that Ibn Arabi states that “the matter begins and ends with him.””

Imam Qaysari explains that the levels of Divinity (al-darajāt al-ilāhiyya) bring about the cosmos (in stages because some of Allah’s qualities take priority over others. Like Allah’s saying, “my mercy overshadows my wrath”).

Imam Ibn Arabi says: “He (Allah) observes the levels (darajāt) which are with the Real (Haq of the universe) when He says, “Raiser of levels, Possessor of the Throne” (40:15) (Here Allah combines the stages of creation with the Arsh, in a single verse), because of His establishing Himself upon it with the Name the All-Merciful (al-Raḥman). So, there is no one under the Throne whom the Divine Mercy shall not reach, which is why He says, My Mercy encompasses all things (7:156). The Throne encompasses everything while the One established upon it is the All-Merciful. Through its reality does the cosmos receive the diffusion of mercy (sarayān al-raḥma), as we have elucidated elsewhere, both in this book and in the Meccan Revelations. (These are the mechanisms, asbab, behind creation receiving rahma or mercy from Allah, it comes to us from the subatomic to our world, hence baraka in life originates from here).”

This is how the scholars described the universe from the sub atomic world down to us on earth;

“According to Qaysari from these levels of Divinity (the qualities of Allah manifest in stages in the universe until we reach the Arsh where we can see their totality, Allah), the First Intellect is brought about (into existence from the first particle) and, from it, the Universal Soul is existentiated (“I created you from one soul”). From the Universal Soul come about all of the rational souls (other souls), bodily matter, universal substance (the first particles everything else originates from), and the starless heaven (falak al-aṭlas), which Qaysari identifies with the Throne (the universe of stars we see in our night sky ends at the Kursi, beyond it inside the Kursi and Arsh, stars don’t exist, this is something the prophet described in ahadith). Then the Footstool (kurs) is existentiated, followed by the elements (particles) from the heavens and the earth (that we know). This process therefore accounts for the intermediate world (Barzakh (veil) between our world and the spiritual world or ghayb) or the world of imagination (malakūt, basically the subatomic world whose particles create the images we see in our mind) as well as the phenomenal world (mulk, physical world).” (Imam Qaysari as Imam Ibn al Arabi is describing the universe from the sub atomic world and the first particles that exist at the deepest depths, the universal substance, to the physical world with its varied particles and elements).

“Through the descent to the ranks of matter (from the deepest subatomic depth to our world), the establishment of mercy comes about. (Allah in the Quran says “I am the light/particles of the Heavens and the earth”, and “He guides (through) His light/particles Whom He wills”, 24:35) So the Muhammadan Spirit (in the old language it is His spirit because that is the world of spirit), which is the locus of manifestation of Allah’s mercy, establishes itself upon the Throne (Allah wrote His name there to indicate the prophets (saws) association with everything the Arsh does) so that His mercy may permeate the worlds (the entire universe), just as He said (about the prophet), And we sent you not, save as a mercy to the worlds (this is its proof)(21:107) (these are the asbab, reasons behind that verses existence, this is how the prophet (saws) was a mercy to all the worlds, not just in name but in reality).”

“If you want, you can say that, through the reality of the Throne, this permeating [of mercy] exists in the world. And it (the Arsh) is the fixed entity through which the All-Merciful (al-Raḥmān) is manifest in the world, just as He is manifest through the First Intellect in the world of spirits (sub atomic) and through the outermost sphere in the world of bodies (the physical that was created from the spiritual world).”

Insha Allah you have benefited from these two Imams words and understand how much of the universe they comprehended, how ahead of their time they were, unfortunately today they are being attacked and tarnished by those wishing to turn Muslims away from their greatest scholars, their history and true heritage.

The name Allah is a gift given to the prophet Muhammad (saws) for His entire community because by saying the name, we are connecting our self spiritually with that singularity of Allah. We benefit from it because we spiritually connect ourselves through this name with the totality of what Allah is, revealed over the span of time regardless of which point in time we exist in becouse He is timeless and does not change.

Each quality of Allah created different parts of the universe, so when you say Allah you open your heart to the universe to receive from it through Him, each person makes different kinds of connections because they are unique, which is why Allah says to people who call on Him, He provides help, assistance, aid, support from unexpected places they do not think of. Like other prophets (as) the prophet Muhammad (saws) was a truly unique individual, so when He (saws) said Allah He received from places no one else had ever received from before.

The mercy Allah granted the universe through Him (saws) reached the entire universe because of the Arsh, His (saws) reality helped every other reality come into existence and helped every creature know Allah.

“Say: “Invoke Allah, or invoke Al Rahman (the Most Gracious): whichever name you invoke Him by, His are all the qualities of perfection (Asma al husna).” (17:110)

Notes: The Hadith Of Jabir

1) “He was Abu Abdallah Jaabir ibn Abdallah ibn `Amr ibn Hiram as-Salami al-Ansaari al-Khazraji. He was a notable Companion of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a traditionist, mujtahid and Imam in knowledge. He was born in Abyssinia when his parents emigrated there. He was among those who gave the Oath of Fealty beneath the tree. He was present at all the battles between the Muslims and the disbelievers except the battle of Badr. He related 1500 hadith and was the mufti of Medina in his time. He lived to be 94 and died in the year 78 A.H”

2) Source of the Hadith: Ta’leem Al-Anaam by Shaykh Abdullahi ibn Muhammad Fuduye’ ibn Uthman Famous as Ibn Fuduye (b.1179H) who quotes it from Imam Abdul Razaq the narrator of the other Hadith of Jabir we quoted. The Imam was “A highly respected scholar of the eighteenth century, the brother of this scholar was a well known mujaddid and wali of the Sokoto Khalifah, Uthman ibn Fuduye, the scholar himself went on to become sultan of the Khalifa. The book was concerning the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and served as an abridgment to the Shifa of Qadi ‘Iyyad”.

3) Some in our time thought the use of the word Maqam in the hadith is strange saying the word wasn’t known by the prophet (saws) or first generations (rah). This is incorrect because the word comes from the Quran and was used by the prophet (saws), we have Maqam al mahmoud mentioned in the Quran that the prophet (saws) was promised. He (saws) used the word in the dua He taught His Umma about this Maqam, the dua “Maqam al Mahmoud alathi wa adta” has been recited after every call to prayer (adhan) by Muslims around the world for the past 1400 years.

Our present work on the Muhammadan Reality and the previous one “Allah Is Reality” establish this narration is scientifically sound, something an inventor of ahadith could never stumble upon by mixing words together, moreover most of what it states is found in smaller ahadith by various narrators showing it’s contents are not isolated statements. The hadith is an example of the prophet Muhammad (saws) speaking in the scientific terms of His (saws) time. This is rare, and these kinds of ahadith are rare, because as He (saws) explained He (saws) only spoke in such terms to the few companions that could handle science. Because they where limited in number these kinds of narrations are more isolated and come from unique places as they are transmitted through history.
